“Wonderful hideaway”
Reviewed 6 June 2014

I concur totally with the review by Jarfie - off the tourist beaten track a few miles out of Bury St Edmunds on the road to Diss. Not large, but perfectly formed....... And they make some drinkable wines!

Go and enjoy

“perfect english gardens”
Reviewed 4 June 2014

A wonderful place. Relaxing gardens with interesting layout and plantings. Good cafe/restaurant (although menu a bit limited for afternoon tea). Well stocked shop with some unusual items and excellent plants for sale. Good loos. Don't forget to get the postcode for the SatNav if you are coming by car, it's a bit difficult to find, but well worth the effort.

“Gardens are a hidden gem”

After several visits for the Saturday Farmers Market and mid morning snack, we decided to visit Wyken Hall Garden. Well worth the money and such a beautiful relaxing place.

“Epitome of everything best about England”
Reviewed 29 May 2014 via mobile

Stunning gardens, roaming peacocks, newborn lambs, a maze, first class restaurant and cafe. Saturday farmers market and a delightful gift, clothes and book shop selling quality produce. Unusually this is all packaged in a relaxed, civilised and uncommercial way leaving you feel you have landed in a corner of Suffolk which neatly presents the best of everything English.
The day we visited we had the gardens to ourselves making us feel very privileged.

This is a very special place. I can't wait to return,

“Very English Establishment!!!”
Reviewed 25 May 2014

Wyken epitomises everything that is English. I have been here twice recently with friends. The shop is lovely full to the brim of lovely things for adults and children, it has a very posh feel to it, served by very well spoken ladies. Yes it's expensive but sometimes you just need to buy that thing that has a special feel to it.
Then there is the restaurant and cafe. Again this is not your average eatery, it's full of ladies who lunch, or gents with yellow trousers and tweed jackets. But a great place to be. On the last visit we had cycled out and did feel a tad underdressed even for the cafe, feeling we were being given the once over by some of the tweed brigade.
That said this place is faultless, the waitresses all smartly dressed are very efficient, service is excellent, matched with the quality of the food, again it is very overpriced, but if you know that before you go that's fine. We enjoyed our coffees and brunch, took our time catching up and at no time felt pressured to move on.
There is something special about Wyken, the whole surroundings are just perfect, great if it's a sunny day as you can sit outside. It has that "cut above the rest" tone to it, coupled with the very English accents n tweed makes for a great experience whatever you choose to do.
