Went for drinks with my wife and whilst the selection of drinks & cocktails are very good as are the quality, the place had no atmosphere. 3 tables were taken including ours, music was ok but a long quiet period before they noticed it had turned off.

This place needs to advertise, liven the place up and then it would be a great little bar at night!

We had a dinner for two here. The service was good and waiting staff friendly and the meal was good value. Two starters and mains, together with a good bottle of wine came to £61.

I had the pork terrine for starters, which was tasty and my partner had the crab and prawn cocktail, which was good. These came with some warm home made bread, which was very good (although we could have done with a top up).

For mains, my partner had the duck, which he liked a lot, although the veg that came with it were rather too 'al dente'. I had the steak and triple cooked chips. The chips were great, but overall the dish was disappointing - some stringy chip bits were mixed in with the large chips and both the steak and the mushroom had a bit of an odd tang to them - almost as though they had been cooked on the griddle after the duck.

We come here regularly for either lunch or breakfast and it has always been nothing but top notch. Not too expensive and in my humble opinion the best cooked breakfast around!

Stopped on a Saturday afternoon for a late lunch with 3 female friends. Had a lovely steak sandwich. The meat was really tender. Very welcoming, clean and cosy. The perfect place for a chat. Although we didn't try them, they had an excellent selection of gluten free cakes. Will go back.

We had dinner here on Saturday 22 March. The service was great and the food very good. The crab and prawn cocktail was particularly good with a variety of complimenting flavours. The main course lamb was very tasty and the desserts were excellent. There was a talented gentleman playing the piano which added to the atmosphere - it was a very enjoyable and relaxing evening.
We popped in for tea on Sunday - again the service was great and we had some lovely cakes in addition to our tea.
