A very pleasant trip to Wivvy for a chums birthday. White Hart is a classic west country hostelry in one of the prettier villages near Taunton. About 12 "double" rooms (ours #9 was the smallest we learned...). There is no such thing as a straight wall in this old building and you need to negotiate some steep and winding stairs to find your room. But there's a very friendly team, good beer and a breakfast of champions to mop up the excesses of the night before. What more can you ask for? At £75 a night for a room not bad value either and even the smallest room was bigger than the equivalent at The Globe, Milverton.
Just a word to the bar manager: do get a good fridge in for your white wine.
And another word to the cleaners or whoever checked our room before arrival: please flush after you go...
