“Lost in the corridors”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 May 2014

A very pleasant trip to Wivvy for a chums birthday. White Hart is a classic west country hostelry in one of the prettier villages near Taunton. About 12 "double" rooms (ours #9 was the smallest we learned...). There is no such thing as a straight wall in this old building and you need to negotiate some steep and winding stairs to find your room. But there's a very friendly team, good beer and a breakfast of champions to mop up the excesses of the night before. What more can you ask for? At £75 a night for a room not bad value either and even the smallest room was bigger than the equivalent at The Globe, Milverton.
Just a word to the bar manager: do get a good fridge in for your white wine.
And another word to the cleaners or whoever checked our room before arrival: please flush after you go...

“Great stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 May 2014 via mobile

Stayed at the White Hart for 3 nights on business.
Check in was very slick and the room was excellent. Really large room with en-suite, flat screen TV, tea/coffee facilities. Breakfast and evening meals were both really good and all locally sourced ingredients.
The owners and staff were all extremely friendly and efficient and will definitely stay here again when I am in the area.

“Amazing food, average hotel stay”

Stayed as part of a groupon deal, at that price place was of good value, I wouldn't want to pay more, room was basic, a bit out of date and fixtures looked old and tired. However the gem of this hotel is the restaurant. Amazing dinner and breakfasts, decent prices and delicious. Made for a lovely weekend surprise.

“Excellent service highly recommend for Coeliacs”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 March 2014 via mobile

Fabulous food, drinks and warm environment. 6 adults and 1 child and our food was served at the same time to a very high standard. 2 of our party have coeliac disease and The White Heart were very accommodating and informed us the chef is gluten free as well which is very reassuring after a disastrous meal the previous evening at the nearby Rock Inn. I asked if a child version of a roast dinner with certain vegetables could be made and it was no problem, the gravy was gluten free meaning our daughter had gravy as well with her dinner! Can highly recommended The White Heart for families, a great place to get together. Thank you

“Very welcoming place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 March 2014

We went here for a meal one night on our weekend away with our dog and were ALL welcomed wholeheartedly. A lovely meal in a gorgeous pub. We stayed in the bar and were perfectly at home. There was a tv on but it didn't interfere with our evening. The food was very nice and we plan to come back and stay in the hotel rooms upstairs as well.
