“Lovely old tack room conversion, ideal for exploring Newcastle and Northumberland”

Lovely rural location but nice restaurants and pubs within walking distance. Great location for accessing the North East, our daughter loved the layout of the rooms. Very comfortable, huge bathroom and traditional, cosy feel but with modern facilities. Did not get a chance to explore the games room and other facilities on the farm as we had a very busy schedule but we would not hesitate to go back as we have many friends and family within a 30-40 minute drive in the area so it's a great starting point. Newcastle is only about 15 minutes away and we did not hear 1 single plane over the 2 days, so you are clearly not on the flight path. Result!!!!

“Lovely cottage with rustic charm”

I stayed at the Old Tack Room cottage for 3 weeks whilst I was on a work assignment in the area.
I found the cottage very cosy and full of rustic charm.
In addition to this the mattress was extremely comfortable which I find is rare in rentals.
The owner is a very pleasant lady who is happy to help with any problems.
The cottage is very reasonably priced and good value.

My husband, son and myself stayed at the Old Tack Room for a short two night stay to attend a wedding in the area. We found the cottage to be very comfortable, clean and in a quiet area. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and thank you very much

“Nice Cottage in Lovely area”

Nice cottage in a lovely area. Very close to the local shops and pubs which is great!
Everything we needed for out short break. Minor recommendation could do with blackout blinds in rooms, but nothing to worry about.
Had quite a few insects in the cottage paying a visit, but wouldn't stop us coming back.

There are actually blackout blinds on all the Velux windows in the bedrooms. Sorry about insects, but that comes with being in the country !

Lovely cottage, converted from old tack room. Lots of nice old features but well modernised with plenty of room for additional travel cot. Huge bathroom! Great location for exploring Newcastle and Northumberland.

Sorry you didn't see any animals. There were plenty of sheep on the farm, but a few fields away from the steading, so would have had to walk through some of the fields to see them.

All very clean. Lounge set out in cottage style with older furniture which adds to the ambiance. Very cosy. The free Wi fi was not good reception but i was able to link to mobile phone network.
We only stayed 3 nights but would not hesitate at returning.
Ideally placed for Newcastle and surrounding countryside.
The farm is an ideal place for a group of families or friends who want their own base but want to be together.
