Thoroughly enjoyed our get-away here last weekend. The large conservatory off the kitchen meant for a great atmosphere with the breakfast fry-up around the table. Loved the freedom to walk around the farm, and the short walk into Box to the pub on Friday evening was very pleasant.
The notes supplied on check-in were very helpful, and we were given a phone number in case of any problems, other than this we were left to our own devices to enjoy our weekend. It was exactly what we had in mind, in a beautiful setting of the Wiltshire countryside. The only thing perhaps to bear in mind is that access to a couple of the top bunks is fairly tight, and if you are planning on filling the room allocation then this is a consideration. For us not a problem as there there were plenty of beds for the 9 of us to take our pick.
Really nice to support an excellent charity, as well as enjoying our getaway. The location is great, and we had a couple of excursions planned within a 30 minute journey. The town of Chippenham has a large Morrisons for supplies, and also a good train service to London. There is also a postoffice literally at the end of the drive, and a co-op in the village for any emergency supplies.
Wouldn't hesitate to recommend, we had read the brief and spoken to Wendy in advance of our booking, in light of this everything was exactly what we had hoped for, and the staff couldn't have been more helpful to facilitate our requests.
