We seem to live in a world of pretentious wine bars and restaurants where you spend through the nose for a tiny plate of food and the staff are just waiting to get rid of you to file in the next lot of custom.
This place reminds us how it's nice to sit down, relax, enjoy a good pint, eat hearty food and talk to the staff and locals about anything and everything. I spent a week in and out of this place and I did try other places nearby but I just couldn't help but keep coming back to this one.
A rare gem in the heart of the countryside.
