This is a great place, with accommodation to suit all prices and taste. They have really worked hard at the facility's here and every thing is spot on, we stayed in a mid range price cabin which could easily hold 6 people. We found it very clean and well organized in the lay out. 2 toilets and large shower. Both my wife and my self have small mobility problems but we found the lay of the accommodation and the facility's in General easy to get round , all areas geared up for disabled access. The only small thing is the prices in the shop , bar and restaurants have gone up a fair bit from our last visit, a main course of the chefs board all most £ 20.00, we did have Sunday lunch here which is a better price and was excellent. But that's my only gripe it works out a bit pricey if you have kids, the entertainment was very good with two groups on, one in the square outside and a singer on the inside, there was all so a local market over the weekend with some excellent products. So over all great stay loads to do here or just a please to relax and get back to nature.I will definitely be going back.

Room Tip: Try to get accommodation near to the square or you could be in for a long walk in the dark as there...

My girlfriend and I visit every year, and every year we find something else to like about this place. We stay in the same caravan every year as owned by my family, but the setting is so unique that coming back is a joy. Food is reasonably priced and of good quality, the staff are always friendly and helpful and the whole camp is always clean and tidy. Its set so close to a beautiful stretch of coastline too. Be sure to visit and sample this greatly underated area of the UK from the perfect base.

MY wife & I have just spent a fabulous weekend here with our daughter and family, so three generations together. We hired two s/c woodland lodges and found they were superb. Spacious with quality appliances, cutlery, crockery etc. They were located in a quiet, peaceful environment with all manner of cheeky wildlife passing by. We had "mixed" weather so planned our days' accordingly and filled the whole weekend with activities very well. The children were tired out & were bathed, in bed and asleep by seven so we had no cause to use the bar or restaurant. So, cannot comment on those. However, with regard to the shop, it is extremely well stocked with a bit of everything and it is on site & available from eight till ten. If the prices seem a bit high, do the sums of driving four miles to a supermarket on a Sunday night to find it closed when you want something! We found all the staff very pleasant and accommodating & would recommend you try it. We will certainly go again very soon.....

Stayed with daughter and 3-year old granddaughter for 1 week in one of the "Heron" static caravans. Accommodation was comfy and quite spacious. We arrived to be greeted by a grey squirrel, much to granddaughter's delight. Minor drawback was that the caravan (which they describe as a luxury holiday home) was located in a wooded area consequently quite shaded which wasn't conducive to eating at the outdoor table.

We bought passes for the indoor swimming pool which was ideal on cooler days. The only real drawback was the site restaurant. We ate there twice and should have learnt our lesson from the first visit when the food was, at best, mediocre and overpriced. We had a visitor for the day and decided to risk a second visit - this time the food was absolutely atrocious, overcooked, stodgy and flavourless, inexcusable at the prices charged. But for this bad experience we would have given the site a 4/5 star review.

Room Tip: Go for the static caravans, "luxury holiday homes", rather than the much pricier woodland...

We only stayed there 2 nights in a tent after not being there for about 15 years and my god how it has changed for the better. Really enjoyed the weekend and the weather made it even better. In the evening we were able to sit out in the outside seating area and there was entertainment on both nights outside. This meant your kids could run around and play, you could take your dogs, the shop was open in this area till 9pm so you could get things out there to nibble on or drink.
We stayed in a mostly caravan area and it was really relaxing and quiet, but in the main tenting area it was quite noisy at night till gone 11pm, which didn't bother us as it was noise in the distance but having been near that I wouldn't have been impressed.
There was so nice walking areas, and it was great for the dogs.
It was overall a lovely clean countryfied site. We loved it.
The shop wasn't much more expensive on the sweets but grocery was a bit more. The staff was friendly.

The toilets and showers was nice and clean, and the ladies toilets had some little cubicles with sinks in too. There was lower down hand soap for the children in the toilets that was good.

We'll definetely go back.

My husband and I have just returned from a 2 week stay at this lovely site. The setting is absolutely stunning. We have never known a campsite so peaceful and so beautifully kept. We have a touring caravan and found there was plenty of room for us. The staff were very friendly and although the restaurant does charge top prices we were never disappointed with our meal. The shower blocks are a little dated but are always kept very clean with plenty of hot water. We really enjoyed our stay at Kelling Heath and would not hesitate to recommend to others.

Myself, my husband and our children aged 9 and 6 have just returned from a 6 day stay in the Chestnut Lodge.

The lodge was amazing, spacious, spotlessly clean, well equipped kitchen. The en-suite was a bonus!

The camp is fabulous. Friendly staff, well stocked village store and not too pricey like some on site shops.

The food in the restaurant was great, good size portions and the children's menu was good too including a drink and an ice cream dessert in the price of the meal.

Lots to do to keep the children occupied, we will definitely be booking again for next year!
