Camped here as a group of four families.

The booking staff were very helpful in finding the most suitable pitches to accommodate our various needs while also making sure we were all together.

Also very helpful when we phoned in advance to book a table for 16 in the restaurant with our 4 dogs. They made an exception for us and allowed us in an area where dogs are not usually permitted.

The pitches were large and we felt that we had lots of space around us.

There is a warden who does a walk around to make sure rules are being followed and we found that the 11pm curfew was followed by campers. It was very quiet at night and I didn’t need to use the ear plugs that I usually have to when camping.

The new shower block in the red squirrel area is by far the best we’ve ever encountered. The thought that has gone into designing them is greatly appreciated. They are large , clean , and have four hooks so that you can hang up your clothes and towels and other belongings to keep them dry and off if the floor.

The hair dryers are powerful and are free to use.

I never had to queue for a shower.

The holiday park is huge and there is a good shop, a pizza restaurant that does takeaway ( excellent pizza!) and a bar and restaurant.

The Sunday carvery was excellent and good value at £10 per adult and £6 per child.

The pool area is lovely and is a complete sun trap ( some umbrellas would be useful!). There is a life guard on duty.

The only negative for me is the early check out time of 10am. It really was a struggle to get showered , dressed , breakfasted ,packed up and the tent taken down ,even though we got up at 7.30am to make sure we had time. They do offer extensions but can’t confirm them until 9am by which time you will have had to have already completed most of your packing up. Sadly this is the reason why we won’t be re booking this site which is a shame as everything else was perfect.

What a fantastic site. Loads to do for everyone in a beautiful setting. Plenty of different routes to use to take our Labrador for walks, so no reason to become bored. Caravan has a very safe garden so Milo can play outside and cool down due to hot weather. This is our third visit to Kelling Heath and the thrill is just as big this time around.

We camped here with a Motorhome and found that we didn't want to move on for several days. The park had everything you needed, with wonderful shower and toilet facilities, set amongst heathland and woods. There was excellent cycling around the very large site and a lovely, quiet fishing pool, reached through forest paths. It would be ideal for dog walking too. There was a good, well-stocked shop, a bar and restaurant and a pizza takeaway. It also had an outdoor swimming pool and an indoor one in the spa. It was a bit more expensive than we usually wish to pay but as we had a special offer via the Camping and Caravan Club, we were able to enjoy our stay at a more affordable price. You could hire cabins on the park if you did not have your own unit. All The staff we came across were very friendly and helpful.

We wouldn’t camp here. Went after being recommended by friends but found it decidedly underwhelming. We were all squashed together rather than having nice space and peace and quiet. We could head the person snoring next door like he was in our tent with us.The wardens were horrible. We are quiet families but found it officious and unwelcoming. Would be a nice location if it was like a normal family run campsite.

My husband and I have been staying in the holiday lodges here for a few years and hopefully for many more, they are clean spacious and comfortable. We have never been disappointed. It is a beautiful woodland full of wildlife, birds, squirrel,Muntjac deer. There is an open and indoor swimming pool, fitness club, shop, bar and restaurant, meals to suit everyone, takeaway pizza, pasta and, cycle hire. The staff are friendly and helpful. We are always sad to leave at the end of our stay.
