Entrance hall is nicely presented and reception staff are really helpful, I asked about buses into Cheltenham/book a taxi /beauty treatment info- all staff were friendly.
Breakfast there was a good selection and plenty of it. Our room was big and had a queen sized bed - lovely, rooms are a little dated (a bit early 90s I would say) although they are clean you can tell they have been well used. TV is out of the ark, we lost reception a few times (just the 5 channels too) we were quite a few minutes walk from reception (a little annoying when we first arrived as we needed two trips to the car - i dont travel light!) as others have reported the corridors go on forever (especially when you are wearing heels!) I should have used the advice given on here and tried to get a room in the main house (ours was in the annex)
We used the swimming pool and sauna/steam room again could do with a bit of a face lift but was perfectly fine to use. Gym looked well equipt but did not use. We ate in the pub at the front of the hotel was great for a quick bit of food loads of choice plus they do BOGOF on main meals - bargain!
Overall a good base for Cheltenham, good value we paid £150 for two nights inc breakfast
