We stayed at the Chelt.Park in early December 2012 and we were looking for an afternoon in the spa a good meal and a relaxing night away. We are reasonable people and we don`t complain, and even our initial disappointment of the dark, dated room which smelt of stale urine did not deter us from enjoying ourselves. The spa is better described as a small leisure centre with a few therapy rooms the staff were friendly enough but it lacked ambience. The meal in the restuarant was very good and the staff attentive. We got back to our room hoping for a relaxing night, however we had been located in a corridor or should I say a cattle market full of party goers. The function room was so close to us that the pounding music, which went on until 1am, became torturous, we politely complained three times and spoke with the duty manager at checkout he did apologise and agreed we should be compensated. However we have had no official apology or any attempt of compensattion, I therefore conclude our experience at Chelt. Park left us feeling traumatized and exhausted, not a luxury in sight.
