“OK for the price”
Reviewed 21 February 2014

They are working to improve the place and really for the price it was OK - room was comfortable but a little cold the only heat being an electric blow heater - food was passable and service was good - as I say OK for the price

When we first arrived we were very underwhelmed with our spartan room. The room was very large, but not very comfortable. Especially considering the high price, we weren't very happy.

But, we decided to make the best of it and head down to the Riverbay Sports Bar and have a drink. The bar opens up on to the Thames, with views all the way to the London skyline. We got there right at sunset and had an amazing view with our drink. Once it was dark we went inside and got started talking to some of the employees and regulars and we loved them. We had a later night than we anticipated, and by the time we climbed up the stairs to bed we had permanent smiles on our faces and our sides hurt from laughing so much. Would definitely stay here again, if it's a night that Wes is bartending!

Her bed looked like it had been dragged out a skip, never seen so many stains. Shower dint work and plug to.sink did not fit. Trying to find someone at reception was a joke, hd to.wait at bar where the person working had very bad bo! Changed rooms only to have same problem with dirty stained beds that i would.not let my dog sleep on let alone my 2yr old. Got offfered a travel cot which was fine with untill i see it, it stunk.and was stained with god knows wot. We left after about 3hrs do not stay here unless u want to stay in a tired, dirty run down place wound not even call it a hotel, its a run down pub that needs money spent on it and managers that care avoid at all costs.

on arrival me and my wife thought dont judge a book by its cover ............. well we were very wrong with that .we were told our room was in the annixe and headed towards our romm were we bumped into a couple of down and outs who were living in the hotel smokeing wacky backy......... we quickly made our way to the room to find urine stains on the walls and spit stains over the walls (or we thought they were spit stains ) until we found out the hotel was being used by working ladies and gents if you get my drift.

We made our way to the bar area were we felt intimedated by an very drunk irish man who constantly made lude comments to my wife and i. After being intimidated by this guy for 15 mins i made my way to receipetion to report this incident where to my astonisment i was confronted by the local hard man who thretend me with violence and offered to provide my wife with a good time if wanted a real man... at this point we left the hotel and will not return in shape or form ( unless iam working for a demolition firm )

Room Tip: keep well away
