Went for a birthday meal and was very disapointed , duck was very strong and tasted like liver , I complained but chef said it was fine even though 3 of us tried it and all thought the same. also desserts were cheap bought ones, Not all the food was bad though but in general ive had a lot better.

“Delicious food, wonderful setting, friendly staff, overall brilliant!”
Reviewed 25 August 2013

We have been going to the Old Mill for some years now and this was the first time since it had to be redone after they were badly affected by the floods last year. The food is still as good as ever; the staff & the owner herself are so friendly and welcoming; the setting of the Pub is beautiful. It really is a most enjoyable place to visit and when we have taken visitors they also have loved it. There is actually an old water mill there, a dovecote, hills at the edge of the car park where there are deer, a trout farm on the other side - it really is lovely and peaceful, calm and relaxing. It is a family owned pub with this great restaurant and it also has accommodation for those who want to stay over. Sadly on this visit, we discovered that the owners have financial problems due to having being closed for so many months due to the damage caused by the floods. I would urge people to go and visit the place and experience the good food and good service!

“Lovely homemade food”
Reviewed 11 August 2013 via mobile

We went 5 yrs ago it happened to be the day Before our 1st child was born. We went back a day before her 5th birthday and were not disappointed. Lovely fresh veg, tasty gravy, nicely cooked meat! The child's chicken nuggets were real pieces of chicken in batter not processed crap. Deserts were delicious will not be leaving it 5 yrs till we visit again!

Somewhere you would never believe was half a mile from Delves Lane. Brilliant country pub. Just a shame the draught lager isnt great. Nowhere better on a hot day.

“Great place for a quiet night out”
Reviewed 28 May 2013

We regularly go to the Old Mill and enjoy a good meal, good beers, quiet country atmosphere and company.
Completely renovated, but to its original high standard - the chips are to die for!!
