We had a fantastic day at the centre today from start to finish !
The playground is great for children of all ages and is big enough to not feel crowded, there's an indoor play barn with slides etc as well
A free barrel ride goes round the outside of the playground which is great fun for young and old (our group are aged between 1 and 63 and we all went on it!)
Lots of well cared animals to look at and can pet and feed.
A tractor ride goes round the land of the farm which is £1 per person extra but worth it as you sit on hay bales whilst being towed behind the tractor and see quite a bit of fields etc
We ate in the restaurant and under 5s get a meal for £2.95 - great value ! We got our meals quickly and all was good value

Would recommend to anyone looking for a fun day out and we will definitely back !

We visit here regularly with our grandchildren who love it, but yesterday when visiting the toilet in the cafe was shocked at the overflowing waste bin , toilet that didn't flush, and a used tampon on the floor! How disgusting, not hygienic or children friendly, no sign in toilet to say when they have been cleaned and checked, which isn't very often I would think! A perfect day spoiled somewhat. Please improve your facilities, West Lodge.

We had a fantastic day at the centre on Saturday. It has everything you could wish for, including a big play area, lovely restaurant serving tasty food, and lots of animals and opportunities to get up close and meet them. Our 2 year old loved cuddling the rabbits and guinea pigs, as well as a duckling and grooming a pony. We watched a few of the animal talks and enjoyed the knowledgable demonstrations from the friendly staff. We also had a pony ride and did some pottery painting. We didn't do any of the country walks as it was a little wet this time, but having previously done them, would recommend them. This is a lovely place to explore and spend the day.

Recently visited West Lodge Rural Centre and had a great day out! With so much to see and do, everyone enjoyed the day. Entrance fees were reasonable and OAPs are free every Tuesday throughout the year!

A couple of things cost extra with the entrance fee – tractor rides & pony rides Also need to book these to a specific timeslot, but get there early and no problem.

Plenty of animals to see and able to purchase feed when entering the centre. The talk given by the farmer about the lambs and goats was very informative.

Enjoyed the pig racing, with the additional availability to place a free bet on your favourite pig, managed to back the winner and the proud winner of a lollipop for my son!

The restaurant was clean and tidy, offering a great selection of hot and cold food. Didn't have to wait long for our lunch either, which was great as the restaurant was particularly busy when we decided to eat. The food was really tasty and reasonably priced.

Plenty of picnic tables situated around the centre for those who prefer to take their own lunch.
Would recommend a walk down to the witch’s house and to try and see the trolls, lovely woodland trails.

So glad decided to visit West Lodge Rural Centre and would definitely think about returning again.

Thank Jamie H

Just got back from a morning at West lodge, easy to find. Spent some time deciding if tO go as rain was expected, luckily it didn't rain. I would not recommend if raining as all out side. Site is set up for families, shop sells nappies dummies etc if case you have forgotten something. Cafe and icecream. Lots of farm animals, hand washing spots everywhere. Organised events at set times. We did pet the bunnies and went on a tractor pulled barrel ride. No additional cost. The pony rides do have a small cost. They sell animal feed in the shop. My little boy loved feeding the animals as did i. Paid £13 for 2 adults and an 18 m old. Spent a long time playing in outdoor play area which is very well maintained. Everything is well looked after. Friendly people.
