We booked a mid week aqua thermal journey package which included a night in the spa hotel, a table and two course meal in the brasserie restaurant, breakfast and a bottle of sparkling wine in the room. When we first arrived we were greeted by very friendly staff and made our way to our room which is very spacious and decorated lovely the massive bed was probably the comfiest bed I have ever slept on! The room had TV tea and coffee equipment a mini fridge with fresh milk water and our wine all complimentary. We put on our spa slippers and robes and set out to the spa. Again very friendly staff clean changing areas etc. the aqua thermal journey was very relaxing and you can stay as long as you like and go between the various saunas steam rooms and hot tub. Being mid week we found that it was not too quiet or busy just right infact. After a few hours we sampled some food from the bar which was lovely before spending some more time in the spa. My fiancée had booked us a Swedish massage and again found the staff superb. Our meal was delicious plentiful and amazingly presented. At no point was there any pressure to have treatments your left alone to relax and enjoy even Andrew the spa manager whilst wandering round stopped to ask if everything was ok if we needed anything etc. we could have stayed a week! We will be returning and highly recommend going

Went for a three night break to The Spa Hotel. Spoilt within an inch of my life! Upgraded to a suite. (Thank you) Can't recommend it enough. Book it now! Complimentary bottle of champagne and a birthday card on the day were a perfect touch.

As ever, the meal in the Brasserie was wonderful. Amuse Bouche, starter, main and pud all perfect.

I can't recommend the Aqua Thermal Journey enough, whether you're a Spa Connoisseur or a first-timer. Relax, unwind and enjoy.

And the Spa Break Deal means you get it all. Someone even said it's better than Hoar Cross Hall which is, I believe, considered amongst the best.

And no, I don't work for them. I just love what they do and the way they do it.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back of the hotel. It's quieter (apart from the ducks!)

I had an overnight stay at The Spa Hotel at Ribby Hall Village. Included in the package was an aqua thermal journey. This was a very relaxing and enjoyable way to start our stay. It was the first time my husband had taken part in any sort of spa day and he thoroughly enjoyed it. The accomodation and staff were first class, nothing was too much trouble. The meal at night was excellent as well. Overall I would highly recomend this hotel.

Room Tip: We had a room at the rear of the property, which overlooked the gardens and was very quiet.

The spa is nice and will equipped (not as good as the outstanding center parcs.. but then the price doesn't compare either). Considering the hotel is on a holiday village they have done a good job of creating an away from it all feeling.
The hotel room was very spacious and well equipped with a lovely big bed and thick curtains (good sleep enjoyed by 7 month pregnant wife).
We enjoyed the evening meal. It is very much posh nosh with small portions to match but I had never eaten chicken that tasted so good.
The staff were very helpful and pleasant which was good. Some of them were a bit snooty on booking as they struggled to accept that a pregnant woman could go to a spa and take responsibility for her own wellbeing and that of the baby. Pregnant women are always being told what they can't do so I think a spa could treat pregnancy more positively. But I think that's a wider feature of our health and safety / afraid to be sued culture. ..

Thank you for your recent and honest review. All in all it sounds like you really enjoyed your stay and found it restful. The health, safety and well being of our guests is very important to us, as is fantastic customer service. We have a range of treatments, specifically chosen for mums-to-be and we also have therapists who are experienced in treating pregnant guests. Our advice for pregnant guests wanting to use the spa is to consult with their midwife or GP prior to using the facilities. It is generally considered not a good idea to overheat during pregnancy, and we therefore recommend you avoid using our saunas, steam rooms, terrace hot tub and hydrotherapy pool as these can reach temperatures of up to 90 degrees Celsius . Whilst we have a duty of care to provide this advice at time of booking, the way in which this advice is communicated is also paramount. Please contact our guest services manager at andrew.mason@ribbyhall.co.uk as we would very much like to understand more so that we can discuss this with the reservations team, and also enhance our staff training if needs be. Thank you again for your feedback.

I live in Aberdeen and came down to visit family and was treated to a spa day. We did the aqua thermal journey, hot stone massage and express facials. We also had lunch. The whole experience was a delight. We started by having coffee as we were a little early and they brought us complimentary Greek style yoghurt with honey and fresh fruit and waffles, which was demolished. Then onto the aqua thermal journey which is something else. Never experienced something like it but it was fantastic. Camille in the treatment part was great. I felt terrible that I didn't speak to her for the whole of the treatment but just because I was so relaxed. The lunch was very good and the staff very attentive as they brought us top ups on water. Overall just an excellent day, excellent facilities with exceptional staff. Can't wait to be back
