“Am amazing place to celebrate my 40th birthday”
Reviewed 6 August 2014

Wow what a lovely place, loved every minute of our stay the restaurants on site are gorgeous an dthe staff are so attentive. Spent a day at the hotels spa, if you get chance go and try the aqua thermal journey, it was so relaxing and the outdoor hot tub was to die for especially in the sunshine. Although this was a girly weekend this place looks brilliant for families there is so much to do. We loved sunbathing with the ducks around our feet. Both the family bar and the adult only bar offered good night time entertainment. Everyone had an amazing time and we will be returning to the village and spa very soon .

Room Tip: The poppy cottages in Salmons leap get lots of sun at the back in the afternoon.

We stayed for 6 nights at the start of July in a Ruby cottage Breamwood 151. First impressions of the site were very good, plenty parking and very clean. Check-in was very smooth got our keys straight away and were very impressed with our accommodation, it was spotless, beds all made up as well. Loads of open green grass around our cottage which was ideal with a 3+5 year old with us. Play park is very good and once again very clean and well maintained. Soft play was also great for keeping them entertained but it is unmanned by staff. Pool was great kids loved it, had trouble getting them to leave it! We ate in The Restaurant which was very nice, food great, let down only by the service , far too slow 20 mins to fetch a couple of drinks hence no tip that night!! but saying that we went on steak night and it was yummy. We pre-booked a few of activities for the kids which they loved, cirque d'ribby was fab as well as the zoo to you although what annoyed us was that we had payed for it and other people who hadn't were just walking in and joining in so my tip would be don't bother paying for it. Evening entertainment in the bar and grill was great, kids loved it, hats of to the the 3 kids entertainers. There is an adults only pool with hot tub, steam room and sauna which you are allowed to use, we did on a couple of occasions, very nice. would highly recommend going for a thermal experience at the spa hotel, you won't regret it!!! We enjoyed our stay so much we have already booked up again for next year. My only major gripe I have is that there is no security checks when entering any part of the village, not once did anyone ask to see our passes during our stay, not at the pool, soft play etc....that needs to be addressed especially the soft play as parents like to know that there kids are safe and secure, anyone could have walked into that complex. apart from that keep up the good work Ribby Hall and thank you

We recently returned from a fantastic family stay (21-28 July) in a Sapphire lodge with our 2 kids aged 8 and 6. Friends were also staying at this time in a diamond cottage (4 adults one child). This was our 6th stay and certainly not our last. Great entertainment, good quality food choice, clean accommodation, plenty of day time activities for young and old. Every time we return we see improvements within the village which is fab :).

My only gripe...... Our car broke down (brake failure) within minutes of departing the village for home on the 28th. We were stranded with no car having to find accommodation and we were quoted 220 for one evening in a poppy cottage. I don't mind paying a premium for quality but really felt this was over priced for self catering accommodation for less than a 24 hour stay.

Just back from a week stay thoroughly enjoyed it with husband kids age 10 and 12 and grandparents. Staff were excellent. Food amazing in all restaurants particularly enjoyed the Singapore noodles in the bar & grill much better than any Chinese restaurant I have been to. The weather did male our holiday though. Stayed in the rose cottage excellent standard lovely surroundings. Would definitely return.

I recommended the motel for a relative to stay 2 nights but was disappointed at the amenities for the price £118
There isn't any air conditioning and there isn't a safe to keep valuables in and as it is all on one level you are unable to leave windows open no fridge in the room
The wi fi connection is terrible
Definitely not 5 star a travelodge is possibly better in some locations

We had such a great time with our three boys 10, 7 & 1 that we didn't want to come home! We stayed Fri-Mon in a Poppy Cottage which was modern, well equipped and clean. Our youngest was thrilled at the collection of ducks, rabbits and squirrels right outside our patio doors, which opened onto a grassy area where the boys could play safely.

The range of activities on offer was superb with something for everyone. We particularly enjoyed the swimming pool, tennis and archery and found all the staff to be friendly and helpful. The youngest enjoyed the entertainment in the evening, the other two being older, and boys, preferred to watch the football on the TV screens and play in the games arcade next door.
All three boys enjoyed the outdoor play area where there was plenty to climb and swing on.

I fully intended to book myself into the Spa, which looks amazing, but was so busy with the kids I didn't get time - I will do next time though.

An enjoyable weekend for all. We will return.
