The food was pretty good and the atmosphere was nice. The service however was fairly lousy and the waitresses seemed to care more about chatting behind the bar than paying attention to the needs of the customer. It also struck me as fairly expensive.

I stayed at The Snooty Fox with my partner and parents for 3 nights in June. We were in Room 10 which was a lovely size with a sofa and 2 armchairs. my parents room was room 9 which was next door and slightly smaller but still a very nice room. Both rooms were beautifully decorated with some lovely individual touches and they were spotlessly clean. The breakfast was tasty and enough for me but not for people with big appetites. All the staff were very polite and friendly and service of breakfast was efficient.
My only gripes from our stay were that the showers were very temperamental but there were signs in the bathrooms to say they were experiencing problems with pressure as a result of a water leak which the Water Board were dealing with. The towels were also a bit thin and I would say due for replacement and the bed was the hardest bed I have ever slept in in my life! The housekeeping was also a bit hit and miss (our towels weren't changed at all throughout our stay and I didn't think they had been in at all until I noticed the bin had been emptied on day 3!).

Room Tip: Room 10 was a good size

I have just come back from 3 days in Cornawall, staying at the Snooty Fox. I can highly recommend this as a place to stay. The staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are pretty good. The breakfast menu is one of the best I have seen with a really good choice. My only comment would be that breakfast is only served from 8.30-9.30am, not much good if you want a lie in. We ate in the Den Restaurant one evening and were really impressed. The menu choice is good and the food itself is excellent, both in quality and quantity. We will definitely return again soon.

Breakfast was great, really good service. The place was well situated for looe and polperro, which was what I wanted to see. But there is lots more on your doorstep. Jamaica inn, tintagel,Charlestown was filming 'polperro' which was interesting. Pt Isaac is lovely, loads more. My only criticism would be you can't get any ventilation in that room, at night, without leaving the door open, and breakfast was only between 8.30/9.30am, actually close kitchen at 9.30, and it would have been better until 10.am, so you could have a bit of a lie in if wanted! Restaraunt was good in the evening if you didn't want to go out.

Room Tip: We upgraded to an outside room, with decking and a place to sit .

Room Tip: rooms at the front of house with decking very nice especially if weather is good.

Nice size garden room which unfortunately smelt a little fousty/doggy. The shower was temperamental to say the least (electric), toilet seat needs replacing, due to every time you sit on it it slides from side to side, no towel change at all for the 3 nights we stayed, (when showering twice a day you need a towel change), even leaving them on the floor which is normal if you want them changed they were just hung back up :-(.
The B & B staff were very friendly at breakfast nothing was to much trouble, very good selection at breakfast and very tasty ( although breakfast was a little limited at 830 - 930).
The restaurant was open daily from 12 to 9pm Mon to Sat and 12 to 4 on Sunday, this is run by a separate family who were very freindly, the food was delicious and a lovely selection on the menu. Only downside was that the bar wasn't opened on a Sunday evening for a night cap.
