“This is a hidden gem that not many people know exists!”
Reviewed 31 July 2013

Battlers Green Farm is such a lovely place to visit. I especially love Destiny Rising, the little crystal/holistic shop. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and it feels so peaceful in there. Great energy. For such a small shop there is a vast array of goodies to choose from. Which range from candles, jewellery, cd's, books, crystals windchimes, dream catchers. You name it, they seem to have it. I wanted to buy everything! I even managed to enrol on a workshop on how to read Tarot cards! They have daily readers, so if you want a reading then this is the place to visit!

“Food not up to normal standard”
Reviewed 7 July 2013

Went on the 7th July for lunch. Normally very good food but today was awful. The sandwich had stale bread which was sent back and a new one with fresh bread replaced it. The bowl (more like a ramekin) of crisps looked like the tiny crushed dregs at the bottom of a crushed packet. The children's sausage and chips comprised of 2 sausages which had indigestible skins and lumps of gristle in them, the chips of which there was the grand total of 4 were uncooked and inedible. my grandson who is far from a fussy 6 year old and always starving child refused to eat any of it. We complained and asked for it to be removed from the bill. the waitress said she would show it to her manager to discuss, the manager never bothered to come out to discuss it which is what he/she should have done automatically. It was however taken off the bill. I had the soup of the day being mushroom which was tasteless and had an awful texture. The roll which came with it had no butter and when I asked for some the waitress did not provide a knife to spread it. My daughter and son in law had Welsh rarebit which they said was fine.
Too expensive for what it was. Not now sure we will ever return.

“A Retail Establishment from Olden Times”
Reviewed 29 April 2013

Sadly most of the retail shops were closed (Sunday 1400 ish) when we were there BUT this is a set of small shops selling fresh fish, butchery, farm produce and various upmarket type items.
From previous experience you get beef (not horse) when you shop and the produce is all of the highest quality albeit you may pay a little more.
The 'twee' shops have excellent items for birthday presents and the like.

We live a short drive from Battlers Green and on the whole i absolutely love it! The Bull Pen though always manages to disappoint...not the food but the abysmal service. The female manager is so out of her depth its laughable. BUT if you can see past the service (or lack of) you will certainly enjoy the coffee, food and cakes. The shops are great for a wonder around especially the farm-shop and hippy crystal shop. Great fishmongers and butcher. But the best shop is the hidden vintage shop at the back that not many people know is there. Its full of absolute gems.....i buy all my gifts from there...i cant recommend a visit enough! Also, steer clear of the Bull Pen if you have small children. They are not made to feel welcome at all. unless the weather is warm and you can sit outside!!

As we were having lunch nearby we thought we would spend a few hours at this attraction.
However less than twenty minutes after pulling in the car park we were on our way out. As a foodie
I can normally find lots in a deli to buy... But not here! The other shops lacked interesting items and
Staff that looked bored to death, and the prices wow!. A friendly butchers shop with some nice items but very over priced. The site needs different people, different shops and different items to be
Any good and worth a visit, the bar, eatery looked ok.
