“A Lovely night spent at Ringwood hall”
Reviewed 28 December 2011

Along with my family we spent Boxing Day and evening at Ringwood Hall. We were greated with a smile at check in and given the key to our fab room the Renishaw suite, this room is gorgeous, large 4 poster bed beautifully decorated and a scrumotius bathroom. We spent the afternoon having a lovely walk around the hotel gardens which my 2yr old little boy loved and then went for some splasing fun at the pool. In the eveing we were treated to a 'Black Tie event' in the Ringwood suite, once again gorgeous food and the service as usuall was top notch. Breakfast the next day was superb and with our rooms not being used we were allowed a late check out.

Another really enjoyable stay at Ringwood for us, hope to see you again very soon

Attended a dinner dance here which was very well done. We were greeted with a choir on the stairs, beside reception, singing carols, a nice touch. The meal was good, a lot better than when we were here three years ago and they ran party games during the meal to keep every one entertained. The bedroom was a good size and a couple of maintaince problems let it down. The handle on the W.C. came off in your hand and the central heating radiator did not work, there was however an electric one and so perhaps it never works! Breakfast was fine but the normal hot dishes, buffet style, which I hate, as it is never hot, unless you catch it just when the Chef is putting it out! Staff were pleasant but I thought they might have explained about the buffet and where it was, as I had never stayed before. All in all a very good evening.

Sorry that you had some issues with the plumbing and heating in your room....unfortunately, particularly with the heating, its one of the challenges of an old building.

Your feedback with regard to breakfast is very helpful. We would prefer to offer a "cooked to order service" after the order but unfortunately everyone tends to come down to breakfast at the same time and there would be too many delays.

Delighted that you enjoyed the evening as much as you did, we like to have a very traditional atmosphere at Christmas time at Ringwood, and the indication that these little extras are noticed is much appreciated. Wishing you a very happy New Year.

We stayed here recently whilst attending a friends wedding that was also held at the hotel. The hotel itself is stunning especially with all the amazing Christmas decorations and the massive decorated trees! The food was lovely and we really enjoyed relaxing in the pool. The staff were helpful, however a couple of the staff on the front reception lacked the warmth and friendliness we'd received from everybody else. Our room was lovely, very tastefully decorated and clean. We stayed in a double room and the hotel put up another single bed for our young daughter who was also staying with us and we still had plenty of room. Would stay again!

We got married here on the 4th December 2011 and it was absolutly perfect in every way, right from the start when we first placed a deposit for the venue, the staff were really attentive, John was amazing, such a charming man, Mandy and Linzi so helpful, and Lynton was the best MC ever.
Was so well decorated, ( the hotel has been refurbished this year and its out of this world),
The ceremony was lovely, and we used the Coach House for the wedding breakfast, and the attention to detail on the day was wonderful. The food was first class, everything ticked like clock work all day, there was one other wedding going on at the same time, but they timed it to perfection so never did our paths cross which was lovely.
Our bridal Suite was wonderful, I cant remember the name of it now, but its the first one at the top of the stairs, four poster bed plasma tv, i didnt want to leave the room the following day.
Well what more can i say, if anyones thinking of booking a wedding i would certainly recommend this venue, i know they have done thousands of weddings and it does show, they are truly professional in every way.
Rhona you have a wonderful venue and you should be very proud of it and your staff.
Thanks again from Lorraine and Damian Denman

Actually, I'm going to say it was a rubbish venue, rubbish food and rubbish evening ...... alright then - total opposite, but I don't want too many people to book up before me for next year! Compliments to Sarah and team for whole organisation of the event. It was hard to believe there was also a wedding, Murder, Mystery Night and The Full Length and Fabulous evening. Such friendly, professional staff, excellent entertainment, beautiful venue and Christmas decorations. Lovely food for the 'do', although I would have preferred at least one other choice of menu as previously offered. Breakfast - great, something for every taste. Rooms spacious, clean, warm. We would have loved to have stayed longer. Well done and thank you team.

Room Tip: Good size disabled room on ground floor.

Delighted that you had such a great time at our "black tie event" and thank you for putting such lovely comments on this review site.

We have our new "calendar of events" currently at print and you can be certain that you will be in receipt of this very soon to make sure you don`t miss out on the range of "black tie dinners" throughout 2012. These feature a variety of events including a Midsummer Ball, Caribbean Cruise Evening, and West End Summer Nights Show in our Garden Marquee in June & July.

The Festive season at Ringwood Hall is always very special, with the traditional decorations and the log fire creating a warm Festive welcome. We are really pleased when guests acknowledge how much they enjoy the ambience..........;the perfect setting for family & friends to gather.

Thankyou so much for your really lovely words, we look forward to welcoming you back next year!!

We booked our wedding at Ringwood Hall 18 months prior to our wedding and from first stepping into the venue we knew it was the perfect place for our perfect day and we were not disappointed!

We got married at Ringwood Hall and there is no other word than 'perfect' to describe the day we had. Many of our family (on both sides) had to travel some distance so booked in to stay at the hotel both the night before and the night of the wedding. The reception staff were so accommodating and friendly on arrival and all of us that arrived before 'official check-in' were able to get in our rooms straight away. Also on arrival the staff were more than helpful and took all our wedding bits and pieces off use and kept them in a safe place so we didn't need to worry about them.

To try and keep with tradition Anthony and myself spent the Friday night apart. Anthony and his best man booked into an apartment, which was stunning and had everything they needed.

For me and the bridal party we booked into inter-connecting rooms which again were lovely. Having the two rooms allowed us to have a 'spacious' girlie night and we were able to hang all the dresses up without people seeing them!!!! Having the two rooms also allowed us plenty of room for when the hairdresser and make-up artist came in the morning!

Our 'Master of Ceremony' Lyndon was a god send, he was a great support through out the day and is an asset to Ringwood Hall Hotel. Lyndon was extremely professional and talked me through how the ceremony and day would go so I never had to worry about anything.

However, I must also praise all the staff during the day, they were all professional and went out of their way to accommodate any requirements we had. At no point during the day were we rushed or told what to do or what not to do by anyone at Ringwood.

We had our wedding breakfast and evening reception in the Coach House which had so much character which really added to the day.

We were on a fixed priced wedding so our DJ was included and he was fab! We said what type of music we wanted playing and he delivered.

We have had nothing but fantastic comments from all our guests about the day and how great it was but one thing they all did comment on was the food. The food was lovely. We went for a carvery to allow our guests to have a choice. The variety was vast and something for everyone.

Many of our guest also commented on their accommodation and how lovely and comfortable it was. The rate the hotel gives you is very reasonable and the fact that the hotel provides a single persons rates is exceptional. The leisure facilities are definitely worth a visit as well.

We decided to stay in the Barlborough suite on the night of our wedding as we loved the lay out and decoration of the room, we were not disappointed! We also decided to stop the Sunday night so we could spend some quality time together once we had said goodbye to all our guests and to actually enjoy the delights of the room. I would recommend this to any Bride and Groom!

We were blessed to have a gorgeous day weather wise for November and the gardens were stunning for the photos.

All in all there are not enough words to describe how perfect our wedding day at Ringwood Hall Hotel was. If I could go back and do it all again I would and I wouldn't change a thing.

A huge thank you from us to all at Ringwood Hall for making our day so special.

We will see you on the 12 November 2012 when we book into the Barlborough suite for our 1st anniversary.

Rebecca and Anthony Nicholas
