“Wedding 1st March 2014”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 March 2014

We had our civil ceremony and celebrations at Ringwood Hall.

The day was fantastic, all the staff were friendly and helpful, in particular John (the MC) was great his help and guidance was instrumental in ensuring our big day went without a glitch.

The hotel and grounds are really well kept, the gardens made for some cracking photos.

All of the food was great, we had an evening meal in the restaurant on Friday evening which was good, breakfast was good with plenty of choice and the wedding breakfast food was also very good and served quickly.

There were several local companies recommended by Ringwood, for table dressing etc who again where excellent.

The rooms are very nice, we were upgraded on our wedding night to the 'Renishaw Suite' which was very plush.

Thanks again to all the staff @ Ringwood hall, a great day had by all.

Congratulations on your recent marriage. We are delighted that you chose Ringwood and that you had such a fabulous time.

Your lovely review following your wedding is very special and hugely appreciated.

We hope to have the opportunity of welcoming you back to Ringwood in the not too distant future, not least your first wedding anniversary, and on behalf of the team at Ringwood we take this opportunity of wishing you a long, happy, healthy married life together.

I recently stayed at the Ringwood Hotel through a Kgb deal. It was fantastic value! The hotel was very pleasant, clean, warm with friendly staff. The room was a good size with a flatscreen TV on the wall and coffee and tea making facilities. The bathroom was a good size with a bath and overhead shower. The pool and spa facilities were an added bonus and very clean. The food was very nice too though not a huge choice for vegetarians. Would definitely recommend.

Thank you for taking the time and trouble to leave your lovely review following your recent leisure break with us.

We always appreciate the phrase "fantastic value".

Your overall evaluation of our facilities is delightful and we thank you for your comments.

We look forward to welcoming you back we hope on a future occasion, and whilst the KGB deal is unlikely to be available as we generally only do it in January, February and early March, do check the accommodation pages on our website as we offer some very special deals direct to clients.

Came for a Murder Mystery weekend with friends. Bit surprized our rooms were at opposite ends of hotel. Rooms nice though and clean & tidy. Bedding not quite as snuggly as other hotels we've stayed at though. The leisure centre cannot be reached from within the hotel which was a bit of a shame on a cold & wet evening. Pool ok and small steam room & sauna. No Jacuzzi though. Changing rooms were cold and floor really wet which was a bit unpleasant. Meal in the evening good & served hot, always a challenge for so many people. Murder mystery very 'Amdram' and because the room was large and noisy, missed some of the dialogue. The actors did come round and sit at the table but again was hard to hear. Wasn't the best murder mystery ever but quite good fun. The winners were the ones that had guessed the murder and written the most about their conclusions and were awarded with a small box of Heroes! The only outstanding thing about the hotel was one particular member of bar staff on finding out our lads like bitter rather than lager, scoured the hotel for bottles of beer and came up with 6!

An interesting review thank you. The Murder Mystery evening that you attended was actually an unusually busy one, and one table in particular were very disruptive. It is very difficult to `legislate` for inconsiderate guests but apologise if it devalued the evening for you and your group.

Overall it seems you enjoyed your stay with us, and the constructive feedback that you`ve provided will of course, be given due consideration. Thank you.

This review is a follow up to the one I posted back in November. First of all I want to thank Rona and her wonderful team for the way in which our initial review was managed. We came and stayed for the night with our 3 year old Son and had an absolutely wonderful time. The hotel itself has a lovely contemporary decor and the room we stayed in was excellent featuring a modern bathroom, comfy kingsize bed and a toddler bed for our Son (which he loved). On our arrival we were greeted by friendly and helpful Reception staff, we used the leisure facilities and again, the staff were super friendly and couldn't do enough to help us. The pool was fantastic and the leisure facilities clean and well maintained. We had dinner in the gorgeous restaurant early evening and again, we couldn't get over how lovely all of the staff were - they all made a big fuss of our little boy and were particularly helpful when it came to finding something for him to eat (we were told we could order anything from the menu and they would make a 1/2 portion for him at half the cost) The food was delicious and well presented.

We had breakfast the following morning and again, the buffet selection was plentiful with lots of variety and the staff were friendly and attentive.

We came and had the stay that we were so looking forward to - our Son had a great time and loved running along the long corridors! We will definitely be back!

Thank you again to Rona and her team, we really did appreciate it! :-)

Delighted that we were able welcome you to Ringwood after the misunderstanding over the competition win.

It was a pleasure to be able to provide you, your husband and your toddler with a really lovely stay.

I am blessed with the team at Ringwood as they really do enjoy engaging with guests and they are an extremely friendly and personable bunch of people.

Delighted that you had a wonderful time and that you found the facilities to be just right.

Me and my partner booked this hotel for a relaxing weekend away and were rather looking forward to it. We wanted to catch up on sleep (we both work long hours and don't get time off) and do some reading. When we arrived we were met by pleasant staff and pointed us in the direction of our room. We were in the room seperate from the hotel next to a MAIN and VERY busy road. We weren't best pleased. We thought with it being a Friday afternoon the traffic might dull down so didn't complain.

The room is badly laid out and design, who wants a bath next to the bed!!!! The shower is tiny and I'm a small person. The toilet button constantly fell off and the taps on the bath were on the verge of dropping off too. The bed was ridiculously uncomfortable and WI-FI didn't work. The next morning we went for breakfast, the tables and chairs are very unstable. We had to request for tea and coffee twice as the waitress never turned up with our first order.

We stayed for dinner one night and we couldn't fault the politeness of the staff and quality of food. The guitarist playing was pleasant to listen to as well.

For £160 a night we don't expect to sleep next to a road and have such poor quality furnishing. We complained to reception on departure and there response was that they would prefer to sleep next to a road then listen to a disco all night. We don't want their preference and at least a disco finishes as the traffic on the road doesn't as its a typical 'Boy - Racer' road!

We were told the manager would be in touch but two weeks later and they haven't had the courtesey to respond hence this review.

Won't stay again and I wouldn't recommend it

Room Tip: Ring up and ask to be in main building

It was disappointing to read your review following your recent visit to us, particularly of the accommodation that you occupied.

Inevitably we all have different tastes and generally the décor and furnishings are more than appreciated by the majority of our guests. You are of course entitled to your opinion.

You will be aware that I have written to you under separate cover which, in complete contradiction to your comment in your review, was sent to you within 7 days of your departure. Indeed I believe it is true to say that you were in receipt of an email from our reception within an hour of checking out, and my follow up correspondence was sent to you the following Friday, delayed only by my absence from the hotel for a few days leave.

On a brighter note however, it was pleasing to read that you found the politeness of the staff, and the quality of the food to be worthy of high praise, and delighted also that you enjoyed the live music provided by our resident guitarist, James.

Have just visited this hotel for 2 nights and it was lovely and set in lovely grounds. The hotel was very clean, the bedroom lovely and bed very comfortable. Staff all very friendly and engaged in conversation and the breakfast was fantastic - massive choice. We also visited the Leisure club which whilst small was also very clean and nice to spend 45 mins in the pool, sauna and steam. I visited the gym for an hour also which was adequately equipped and helped work off the calories gained at breakfast ! We visited on a kgb deal and I wish I had gone for one of the suites as these looked lovely but to be honest we couldn't fault our very comfortable room in any case. The only one downside is we stayed on a thurs and fri night - everything was great on the thurs but on the friday there was a graduation event happening and we were woken in the early hours with them going to bed but that wasn't the hotels fault, just inconsiderate guests. All in all, well recommended.

Room Tip: If you could afford it, go for a suite albeit nothing wrong with a standard room at all.

Thank you for leaving this lovely review following your 2-night break with us.

Delighted that you had such a lovely time and that you found all the services to exceed your expectations.

As I have said on many occasions in response to reviews, we are fortunate to have such a lovely team of staff here at Ringwood who are always pleasant, friendly and engaging.

Good advice to clients looking for even more special accommodation. Whilst all our rooms are well appointed we do have some exceptional feature rooms and suites, all of which are viewable in our image galleries on our website. Our team of receptionists are always delighted to assist you with making a room reservation by offering advice and guidance as the most suitable style of room and location to best suit the purpose of the visit.

We look forward to having the opportunity of welcoming you on a return visit.
