Stayed here with friends for a wedding at a Hotel near by.
Bedrooms were lovely, shower was very powerful - better than ours at home.
Flexible when we asked re coming back late from the wedding. We all had a front door key to let ourselves in late.
Cute conservatory on the back

We had my Granddaughters christening here on 13th July.Ken and all his staff could not have been better. He made us feel it was our home for the day.Food was excellent and loads of it.We had a bouncy castle which added to the fun for all the children.Ken even let us have the Marque for nothing.Everyone remarked what a beautiful place and we all wished we could do it again.

We stayed here whilst we were visiting the open at hoylake, we arrived very early Sunday morning ready to get a taxi to the course, Ken the proprietor was taking some clients to the course and told us to jump in. We arrived back some time after eight, hungry and tired,we went straight to the delightful dining room where we had a freshly cooked delicious meal, we were made to feel like family, our room was lovely ,bearing in mind it was a last minute booking. We had the family room, we thought it was sweet, it was spotlessly clean and I was really pleasantly surprised the amenities were my favourite Elemis. We had a good nights sleep in a very comfy bed and got up to a super breakfast, once again freshly cooked. I would recommend this wonderful place to stay, people were lovely, food great and rooms spotless, what more could you ask for. Top marks and we would definitely go back.

We have just returned from our three night stay at Peel Hey during the British Open golf. This was simply the perfect place to stay. From initial contact with Ken all went smoothly to plan. Ken was gracious and even drove us down to the course using his local knowledge to beat the traffic -he even lent us umbrellas for the expected Saturday deluge. Every staff member we met was pleasant and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. Top marks to the chef. Breakfasts were spot-on. We had our evening meals in Peel Hey and it was home from home (that is probably elevating our home cooking, to be honest). Complimentary sparkling wine to celebrate Jack's 18th birthday was a nice touch and typifies the service levels. The room (6) was perfect for us . Jack had his own space in the mezzanine. En suite was very good, perfectly clean with a nice shower. Although we had checked out on Saturday morning, when we returned to Peel Hey after the golf to collect our luggage we were able to indulge in afternoon tea - beautiful scones, beautifully presented and we were given the facility to shower and change before heading off. Couldn't recommend it more highly. Thank you all for your kindness. John, Helen and Jack, Dublin.

Room Tip: We had room 6 which has a mezzanine which was perfect for a couple with one teenager - although ther...

Spent a couple of nights with Ken & his team as we were up for the Open @ Hoylake - all booked a tad last minute.com as offered a couple of free tickets to the golf, Ken was helpful with the booking & the hotel was ideally located for the golf, he even dropped us + another couple of guests down at the course early on the final day.
Hotel is lovely with good sized rooms (we were in room 6) & a very welcoming feel, staff are very helpful & friendly with good food options too.
All things considered a great spot with a top quality team - Thanks Ken

Booked this accommodation online the morning of the night that we wanted to stay there. We were amazed that they still had a room as the British Open is on. We chose it because it looked nice, sounded nice and was close to the golf which we were going to attend. We got there late and were greeted by Eleana who was very helpful. She couldn't do enough for us. She showed us to our room and we were pleasantly surprised. At the top of the guest house it was very cute with a sloping ceiling and quaint window. The bathroom looked brand new. We then had dinner where we were looked after by Becky. She was a breath of fresh air and also very hospitable. The next morning at breakfast we met the owner Ken. A great guy and couldn't do enough for us. I would recommend Peel Hey to anyone. With the lovely dining room, cool conservatory and lovely outside area. What a great place and so close to everything.
