We found the receptionist at check-in very friendly and efficient. We were taken to our room in the courtyard with a tour of the facilities on the way. The room was really big, huge bed and nice bathroom with Molten Brown toiletries. The setting of the hotel is beautiful.

We both enjoyed our treatments in the spa. My husband had massage and I had refresher facial which was lovely.

We ordered a bottle of champagne for our room which took about 45mins - 1 hour, rather too long I think!

We had dinner in the restaurant which was nice and had good service.

After dinner we went to the bar which was like a scene from Fawlty Towers. They were really slow and had a guy there who was completely clueless and either needs intensive training on bar drinks and service or should just be moved to another department altogether. I was uncomfortable however by the way the other two members of staff seemed to bully him and noted this in my feedback to the hotel which the GM replied to quickly.

Wow, what an amazing place to escape to after the stresses and strains of the week. Came with a girfriend and we were unexpectedly upgraded to the most heavenly suite in the gardens, which came complete with a conservatory! We could have happily whiled away the weekend in the conservatory alone! Upon arrival we were met with the most warmest of welcomes, acknowledging the fact that I was a return guest, which was lovely. With a couple of weddings going on plus other celebratory events, one might have felt rushed or crowded or have to wait a while for service, but absolutely not. Staff were so friendly and made time to chat, and tended to our every whim and need without any bother. Getting dressed for dinner in the Oak Room with the piano playing and the candles lit is a real treat, especially when you are sitting by an open window, overlooking the gardens and the swimming pool and the moon is out. Not a romantic dinner, but a truly special evening with a very best girlfriend, we both felt very spoilt. And with the weather being summer-like finally, we found plenty of reclining chairs to decorate the outdoor pool area to catch up on glossies, gossip and news! A large slice of heaven, this General Manager and his staff certainly know how to make their guests happy, many thanks to you all.

We stayed for a family wedding and have stayed here for a 50th party. The service is great and is a wonderful place to stay. We were lucky enough to get upgraded to a suite both times. It is a quitessentially english grand house, with dark oak panelling and oil paintings. Although the rooms could do with some modernisation they were very spacious.

This hotel is quite simply fantastic. My wife and I and our 1 year old daughter stayed here and the facilities to cater for a family were second to none, the staff are fantastically helpful, professional and well-mannered whether on or off duty. Our room was away from the main hotel as a suite off the lily pond. It was a very spacious duplex unit which meant we had the ability to put baby upstairs to bed at night, it consisted of a large living room, large bedroom (and possibly the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in), good sized bathroom, with a plethora of additional extras and complimentary items that I couldn’t begin to list. The grounds are amazing consisting of some amazing walks and a never ending series of little secret spaces to discover one more attractive than the last. The food was of a level more suited to a Michelin starred restaurant and the waiting staff were very efficient no doubt aided by a maître d’ who did her job so efficiently that you felt as though your table was the centre of the entire service. The bar has a very attractive selection of fine wines to all tastes and costs and I cannot think of a single thing I could fault this hotel for. My wife and I agreed upon leaving that we had only one major regret about our stay and that was that we had to leave. I am not normally prone to such hyperbole in relation to the description of services or facilities but credit where it is more than due this hotel was a delight to stay in and will feature in many of our future getaways.

I recently stayed at Tylney Hall as a guest of my in-laws to celebrate their wedding anniversary and had a great stay from start to finish. The building and grounds are fantastic and we were very pleased to be able to play some family tennis before cooling off in the pool! We had travelled from Northern Ireland and the trip was absolutely worthwhile. The service at the hotel was superb: professional and approachable, formal but not stuffy. The restaurant dinner was excellent, wine menu exciting, service could not be faulted. Our room on 3rd floor was huge, the bed even bigger, fabulous bedlinen (crisp and white)....We could go on and on. Knockout!

Well what can you say about this beautiful hotel. From the moment we arrived to the time we left we were treated as people not just a number. When we arrived we were greeted by the doorman who was very friendly and very smartly dressed. We then booked in to a very helpful staff who asked us we we had had a pleasant trip, she explaned the meal times and the location of the room. and if we needed anything we only had to ask. Our bags were taken to our room, & in our room we had a basket of fruit and most of all a lovely welcomimg card which was a really lovely touch.

We had drinks before our meal, our order was taken and then we were shown to our table. The meal was out of this world, the waiters and waitress were very helpfull and very knowledgeable. The time between the courses was very good, not to long and not to short, just the right amount, also the waiters did not hang around you waiting to take your plates away.

Breakfast was also very good, could not fault this in any way, the tea, coffe and food were all pipeing hot, just how it should be.

This hotel went beyond the call of duty on the next point, we are both keen fishing people, we arrived at the hotel with a cool box full of fish needing to be put somewere cool, bearing in mind the hotel had a wedding at the time, a very very helpful lady member of staff and a senior manager came out and said "This is not a problem we will put them in our cold store, it will be a pleasure to do it for you sir", well what more can you say.

We can not fault this hotel at all from start to finish, I would recommend this hotel to everyone and we will be going back to this beautiful hotel

Location is great.
The house is very impressive, the rooms do not match up with the public spaces.
The garden rooms are nice but very far from the main building.
The spa pools were out of order.
Te dinner and breakfast service were very good, and I have to mention
especialy Agnuszka for her attention and eficiency.
The garden and forest surrounding the house are very well tended.
The spa treatments were on a very high level - perfect!
All in all a nice experience.
