We have been going to this pub for many years and have always had good food beautifully cooked. On this occasion our friends had roast beef with all the trimmings and my husband and I had roast lamb. Delicious all round with excellent roast potatoes. The portions are large so we did not have room for dessert. Service is a little slow but it is worth the wait in this very busy pub.

Went there with friends over the busy bank holiday, went there as we have been there before.
We were greeted by friendly staff and guided to a table in the very busy restaurant area. Our waitress Vicky really looked after us and the food was excellent.
I would definitely recommend this pub and look forward to our next visit.

Our meal was a midweek catch up. As reviewed by others the food and drink service was simply slow with only a couple of staff in a busy bar. The food was good when it arrived but we were directed where to get our cutlery and condiments. We were not offered more drinks or deserts at any point, and paying was fairly difficult. The standard of service reduced the quality of the food with it's waits making it a generally average experience.

As we approached the bar, we were warmly welcomed by the gorgeous Becky. Her warm and friendly manner was most delightful indeed. I really must say, my first pint of HSB bitter was exquisite much to the delight of my taste buds, one of the finest cask beers I have tasted for quite some time....and I have tasted quite a few, believe me!!
We were swiftly seated at a lovely table for two after only a few minutes wait and our food order was taken promptly. Unfortunately, a large group of 18 had just pipped us to the post with their food order however, we were not left waiting long for our main dishes and where offered a complimentary drink for our only slightly longer than normal wait. This was an extremely refreshing surprise and we didn't even have to say anything! Food quality and presentation was very good indeed. We really enjoyed spending our Sunday afternoon with Becky and her team and look forward to frequenting again very soon.
