We were looking for somewhere to have Sunday lunch and i chose the Marine after finding it on Trip adviser. I wasn't disappointed !
Location: Amazing.Every table has a view but we were lucky enough to have one in the window and the view was breathtaking. On the roof is a terrace which i expect will be wonderful in the summer with a 360 degree view.

Food: Spot on. Had a three course Sunday Lunch for £19.95 which is incredible value and even with the wine and coffee the meal was only just under £60 for 2 people. The food was nicely presented, portion sizes were just right it all tasted delicious and the Raspberry Creme Brulee came with homemade Cookies and was out of this world.

Hospitality: It is a rarity these day's to find enthusiastic people who enjoy working and are happy to help you but this place has it. We were made welcome as soon as we arrived by Steve the manager and the young waiter.Steve showed us the amazing roof terrace and the stunning rooms you can also stay in.The service was second to none.it was quick, unobtrusive and friendly.

Summary: Just go and see for yourself. We traveled from Salisbury and it was well worth the Trip.

Great meal and atmosphere. If it had been warmer it would be great to have meal on roof terrace with such a fantastic view over the bay and to Is of Wight. Would definitely eat here again.

Once again we were made to feel welcome, there was 10 adults and 9 children who all had a lovely time. The team made us welcome and provided a room for us to use so the children could pay whilst the adults ate their lunch. Food good as usual, friendly service, we will be back, we come every year.

This is a well kept secret and shouldn't be, the food is great and very reasonable for such a great selection and well cooked range of dishes. We went to the restaurant on a Saturday night and all but 1 table was occupied but I can see this getting busier as people get to know the place.

Steve has taken over, previously of The Lord Bute, and although only here for 3 weeks since visiting, he is already making his mark. He is front and centre and nothing misses his eye for detail so the service is spot on.

The food is really well prepared and I had the herb crusted hake with one of our friends and that was great. Another of us had the mussels and the sauce for this was luscious and creamy. For dessert we had the lemon meringue which is easy to get wrong and right, and they did it spot on, with enough tang to off set the sweetness.

The prices are very reasonable for the quality and I would call it good value. We went in the evening so did not see the view, but I can only imagine it is breathtaking based on its location. The building itself is done to a very high standard and the quality you can feel in everything, the fabric, the service and the food.

We stopped here for a lovely walk along the shingle spit and had a snack lunch while we were there. The staff were efficient and friendly and the prices were good value and sandwiches good quality. Car Parking is free for 2 hours if you eat or drink in the cafe as well.
