After experiencing great food and service when visiting last year, I decided this would be a great venue for my mother's 70th birthday celebration. The restaurant kindly sent me menu choices a week before our visit and adapted the menu for us. Although we were the only guests dining (it was a Monday evening), this was not a problem as it made for a lovely relaxed evening. On our arrival we were given complimentary fresh breads followed by a two course meal (main & dessert), no one could fault the presentation and quality of the food. The attentive service and humour by Stephen at the Marine added to the enjoyment of the evening. Following the terrible and devastating valentine storm only the main upstairs restaurant is open, however they are working hard to open the downstairs shortly. The building is wonderful, a little hidden from the main village but with their own parking and stunning views over the Isle of Wight Needles it is well worth a visit. The art deco design and décor is very classy and unique too. If you haven't yet been, I would definitely recommend a visit.
