“Gorgeous food and great service”
Reviewed 2 June 2014

The food looked and tasted so delicious. The menu had the right range of choice for all our tastes. It seems the menu is changed according to what is in season and so the produce was spot on. we just loved al the dishes from starters to desserts. The service is also a great balance of attentive and friendly. The Chef even ventured out to meet the diners and listen to feedback - great to see a Chef interested in the diners! I think this little restaurant is a hidden gem.

“Part of the Dining Bus Experience”
Reviewed 25 May 2014

We only were there for canapes. However, they could not have been more welcoming. The canapes were delicious and the Chef/Owner Leo clearly went to alot of trouble. The dining bus is a concept like a safarri supper. You are taken by a mini bus around the village (there were 12 of us ) of Milford On Sea to visit 4 restuarants. La Perle was the first stop/meeting place. we had a glass of champagne/elderflower from Leos village in France, followed by 4 sumptious creations. A great start to the Dining expereince and a superb advert for the restaurant. We shall return for a full meal.

“Super lunch on Saturday”
Reviewed 13 May 2014

I worked out that the last time I ate here was in 2000 - it was not La Perle then but Italian and believe it was called Piccolo. Over the years had none too good reports but recently in a local magazine in New Milton there was a good review. So tried it out as we were in the area. And I will come here again. Very reasonable Prix Fixe with a sensible spread of flavours. Matches anything I had the previous weekend in the Tarn.

“This restaurant is a true "Perle"”
Reviewed 12 May 2014

We have been visiting La Perle since in opened..it has grown from strength to strength..Lionel and Emily have proved themselves to be at the top of their game, I think the "big boys" in the area should watch out! Frequently changing menu, locally sourced food expertly crafted into something not just pretty to look at but tastes absolutely amazing! Front of house staff very knowledgeable creating a friendly atmosphere..well done guys :-)

“Consistently outstanding food and welcome”
Reviewed 9 May 2014

La Perle is quite honestly our favourite restaurant anywhere! The food is consistently good with both innovative modern dishes and French classics. Lionel the Chef Patron has a wealth of experience in top class restaurants in France and in the UK and has brought his knowledge and talent to the small village of Milford on Sea where it is much appreciated as can be seen by the consistently full tables.
Lionel and his wife Emily are obviously much loved by their regulars but in our experience they and all their staff really do try to make everybody feel welcome, whether it is their first visit or their fifteenth.Lionel even went out of his way to write down some ideas for a French style barbecue for me last year which was quite unexpected and most kind.
We especially enjoyed the recent Cannes Film Festival Evening which was part of Milford Food week.
