“Sunday brunch with friends”
Reviewed 23 May 2014

Really great place and love it on a Sunday with newspapers and great breakfast selection. This is the third time I have been and every time it has been good.

“Lymington?”
Reviewed 22 May 2014 via mobile

The Raft is in Milford On Sea not Lymington. Excellent place so this is confusing.
This is one of the top 3 in Milford so amazed to see its location is wrong

“wonderfull host and amazing food”
Reviewed 6 May 2014

We were recomended the raft by our B&B hosts , so wandered down there bank holiday sunday evening, where we were greeted by the owner Denny who we later discovered is a very lively entertaing and hospitable host. thats not to say he wasn't those on arrival but had a full restaurant and was very busy but still managed to squeeze us in. The food is some of the tastiest i have sampled in a long time all 3 of our meals were beautifully presented and tasted supreme. the restaurant is worth a visit for the food alone but add in the host and this is the place to eat in Milford and the New Forest

“A little gem!”
Reviewed 5 May 2014

Tucked away just off the central area in Milford on Sea (a delightful little town, in itself), you will find this quirky/'shabby chic' bistro. There are a variety of seating options comprising booths, small tables and larger tables, some in the restaurant window, others at the back in a raised area.

There is an interesting area outside with tables and seating, and a 'cabin' for relaxing on warm days/evenings.

The food is bistro type...pizzas, burgers, rib eye steak, chicken puttanesca (served delightfully on a wooden platter in a cast iron pan), fish of the day, moules and always some 'specials.' There are some lovely sharing type dishes to start your meal (babaganoush/houmous/olives)

Service was tricky on the night we were there as they were extremely busy, but they were aware of our long wait for the main course and offered deserts 'on the house,' which was a welcome gesture.

A lovely place for family young and old, and for delicious food. We all ate well but did not suffer from that feeling of over indulgence which can sometimes follow after food is too rich, or of poor quality. It was delicious, light and easy to digest. The menus are well formulated.
