We called in to have a meal while driving around on holiday and were not disappointed, it was really good, plentiful and cooked fresh in pleasant surroundings,I would recommend it.

2 good rump steaks with extras, 1 chicken and veg, but the fourth a fish dish had too much sauce. Good staff and Abbot ale available. Not too expensive, would go again for the steaks.

the food was poor quality, i ordered chips as it looked like the meal only came with salad, when it arrived there were chips, not that they were good quality, being so close to the coast expected proper chips not oven ones

Out for a summer evening drive, it is a pleasant surprise to find somewhere which far exceeds expectations. Fresh fish beautifully cooked and with Michelin quality presentation. Too many vegetable, but that's not a criticism, still nice and crunchy. I usually find deserts too much but decided to keep the wife company with a jam sponge which was unexpectedly light. A few of these reviews confirm that all restaurants have bad days but us locals will be keeping tabs on this one.
