this is a jewel of a hotel, set on the clifftop with excellent views and walks. food is fabulous and you can eat in the bar, restaurant or on the terrace. it's a splendid place with a super atmosphere, areally calm oasis, just a shame it doesn't have spa facilities - would be perfect then!

We booked this hotel last minute for your 18th Wedding Anniversary and feel like we have found a place we will long to go back to. The hotel itself is beautiful, a wonderful location near the sea giving a relaxing feel straight away. Yet we could not have been more impressed with the dedication and service from the staff...I am still blown away! The staff made us feel so spoilt and special that we would like to go back for all our anniversaries, birthdays and hey lets throw in Christmas!!! Already recommending it to all our friends so hopefully it won't be booked up!!
Thanks again Westover Hall staff.

We came across Westover Hall around lunchtime a few months ago and popped in for a superb lunch with my 90 year old father. All aspects of our meal were perfect, and the setting was fabulous, so we picked up their wedding brochure and added it to our list of possible venues.Having finally decided that the hotel was the perfect place to hold our September wedding we made contact with Rachel (their wedding co-ordinator). From then on things ran incredibly smoothly and the service of Rachel and her team was brilliant throughout - nothing was too much trouble.
Despite days of rain our wedding day dawned brightly, and, on congratulating Rachel on arranging the sunshine, she responded with "Just part of the Service!". Whilst obviously a joking remark I'm sure that had it been in her power to do this for us she would have!
To go through the whole day would be tedious for readers but just one example of the exemplary service we received might suffice. At the wedding breakfast one of our guests managed to tip the entire contents of her dessert over her blouse. As we had the meal before the ceremony (people had travelled from far afield) this was a major disaster. She was whisked away to an upstairs room, her blouse taken down to the laundry and washed and ironed, and one of the staff went into nearby Lymington to purchase an alternative blouse for her approval. Furthermore, after returning the washed and pressed blouse later in the day, she was told she could keep the new blouse with no charge!!!!!!
Brilliant is the only word that encapsulates the whole day and the wonderful service we all received from the excellant staff. Many thanks to all concerned. Highly recommended!

We recently celebrated our Wedding at westover Hall Hotel, it was the best experience ever for a wedding, the Hotel made our day perfect ! From the service to the Wedding breakfast , the food was to a very high standard and very tasty , the staff were superb and very attentive, nothing was too much trouble it was truly a beautiful setting. We stayed in the Alexander Siemens room which was lavished to high standard and had no fault with the room at all, our guests stayed in several rooms and had no problems at all. breakfast was very good with a varied choice to suit most pallets. I would recommend this hotel it has such a wonderful ambience. We have already booked to spend our first anniversary in the Hotel , i would recommend this Hotel for any one wishing to have a sophisticated and truly magical wedding, congrats to the Hotel manager and staff.

Having spent a very enjoyable weekend at this very special hotel in such a perfect location, I am amazed at the negative comments that I have since read on this website. On arrival we received a warm welcome and were shown to our suite in the cottage next door which proved to be both comfortable and well appointed. We did not eat on the first evening, as we have family which we visited in the area. After a fantastic breakfast the following morning which had plenty of choice and fresh ingredients cooked for us, enjoyed with a sea view in warm sunshine in the Bistro, we went to the Isle of Wight for the day - just a stones throw away across the Solent and easy to get to from nearby Lymington. That night we chose to dine in the two rosette restaurant and upgrade to the tasting menu. We were not disappointed. we started with drinks and canapes in the bar in the main hotel and all the rooms here were very comfortable and inviting and they even have a resident cat! The food was perfectly cooked and the presentation outstanding. it seemed a shame to eat it! but when we did wow!
We could not fault the attention shown to us by all the staff and came away feeling refreshed and eager to return again sometime soon.
