This is our second dinner at Chez Roux, the last time was two years ago on our first visit to Scotland. The service was first rate, the selections perfectly prepared, I had the venison appetizer, we both had the red mullet main, and I had a fantastic parfait. The breakfast was fulfilling and well prepared, my wife had the full
Scottish breakfast and I had the smoked salmon with scrambled eggs and caviar.

Chez Roux is situated inside the wonderful Cromlix hotel. If you can afford to stay for the night you will be spoilt. The food is excellent and the service is top notch. You will not be disappointed. The restaurant is essentially a large conservatory with a modern flair. If the sun is shinning you may wish to book dinner and skip the lunch. We could not fault the food or the service. Treat yourself and just do it.

Wheni we booked a cottage in Linlithgow it was a good idea to book this restaurant having read so much about it. From the moment we stepped in the service was impeccable all the staff have the right attitude friendly but not too overpowering. The food was as you would expect from such an establishment. Nothing was hurried, tables not too close together either. Because the weather was windy and raining didn't have the chance to wander around the gardens. The menus were very extensive catering for all tastes, we had as main courses duck and red mullet cooked to perfection. Puddings were to die for followed by coffee. A lovely lunch in beautiful surroundings and would heartily recommend for a very special treat.

Fabulous food in a gorgeous setting. The restaurant is light and airy with very large windows that over look the garden. Save time to walk the grounds!
