Caorunn House is clean and comfortable, but the distance from Arisaig or Morar may present a problem if you don't have your own transport. We arrived at Morar after a five hour train trip from Glasgow and with some luggage. We realised that the b&b which we had booked for two nights is actually closer to Arisaig and a few miles out of Morar. The only transport possible was to call the one and only available taxi cab in the area which cost £8 to reach the house. Morar has no shops, restaurants or coffee bars that we could locate, and having travelled from Glasgow, we were concerned about how to get an evening meal that night or food for a planned hike the following day and for the next day's evening meal. The cab driver told us it would cost £12 each way to get to Arisaig to get a meal/food which seemed an expensive outlay. The hosts did not offer to make us a sandwich or anything which we would have been happy to pay for, nor offered us a lift to the nearest town. So we cancelled the second night stay and headed off to a delightful b&b in Arisaig but we did get to see the beautiful sandy beaches of Morar before leaving.

My wife and I spent two nights at Caorunn House - a lovely place to stay in a fantastic area. The rooms are first rate and the home is lovely. The hosts make the whole experience memorable. Be assured if you stay here you will never doubt a second visit.

We had the good fortune to have booked in to this B&B for 2 nights in May. Every aspect was wonderful, the accommodation, the setting, the breakfast and George couldn't have been more helpful. Would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking to explore the lovely areas of Morar and Arisaig.
