“Fantastic stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 June 2014

We stayed here for 3 nights. It was fantastic! Very friendly couple who run the B&B, lovely views from the window (Room 1). Lots of choice for breakfast and all delicious! Homemade shortbread in our room each day - what a lovely treat! Also a nice chocolate by the bed, lovely touch!
We'll be back and we hope it's very soon! 5 Stars *****

Room Tip: Choose room 1 if you can!

Just visited for afternoon tea. Warm, friendly welcome for beautifully presented sandwiches and first class baking in a small, but elegantly furnished, tea room with beautiful views to the white sands of Morar. All this and the steam train too! Look forward to a return visit - highly recommended.

We didn't stay here but went in for afternoon tea and it was great. A party of 6, we arrived unannounced and had their cream teas, exhausting their stock of clotted cream in the process as we all went for second servings. The owners, Phil and Maggie, could not have been more friendly and helpful. The service and the food were superb and the prices were very reasonable indeed. We also loved the breakfast/tea-room itself. It was an absolute delight to visit and if we do return to this area we'll definitely try to book to stay here.

What can I say that hasn't been said before? I cannot recommend this B&B too highly! We have stayed with Maggie and Phil before and had such a memorable time we wanted to return. They are just the best hosts, making you feel welcome in their lovely home. The room was great with amazing views and the attention to detail was outstanding. Breakfasts were cooked to perfection and Maggie's home baking is superb. The whole experience was so relaxing. We will certainly be back. Love to Maggie and Phil xx

Room Tip: Room 1 is a great room but all rooms are of a high standard.

We stayed at this delightful B&B for five nights mid May. What a treat - Harlosh had been recommended to us by a friend who'd stayed a couple of years ago. It was as nice, if not better than she described it. Our hosts Maggie and Phil could not have been more friendly and welcoming; nothing was too much trouble for them. The room was extremely warm and comfortable, with stunning views across the estuary from the large window. Breakfasts were varied and tasty. Maggie also offers afternoon tea, serving the most delicious shortbread and scones, amongst other yummy choices. Being our first visit to the area, Maggie's suggestions and recommendations for sightseeing and touring were greatly appreciated. Their service to guests even extended to "babysitting" our dog during the evenings we went out for dinner. We could not have asked for more and our stay at Harlosh contributed significantly to the enjoyment of our trip. Val, Rob and Coco

Room Tip: Ask for the room with the view.

We'd been travelling in Scotland for four days and we were looking for a place to stay before taking the ferry in Mallaig to Skye Isle. We had no reservation and we were really tired. We knocked at Maggie and Phil's door late in the evening and they kindly accept to host us for the night. Moreover, they welcomed us really warmly.
The room was perfect: lovely, well-arranged and with everything we needed to spend the best resting night ever.
The breakfast was perfect as well. We've been glad to meet them and we recommend warmly Harlosh Guest House!
Thanks for everyhting Phil and Maggie!

Our three night stay at Harlosh was unforgettable in so many positive ways thanks to the setting, hospitality and the quality of accommodation on offer and at such a reasonable price too. Maggie & Phil couldn't have went out there way anymore to ensure our stay was very a comfortable one. The attention to detail in the room with the fresh flower at the side of the bed, the chocolate bunnies for the kids and the little chocolate left at the side of the bed for the adults each night was touching. Every evening Maggie left a list of breakfast items available for the next morning all freshly cooked to order and laid out beautifully in the dining room with stunning views of the White Sands! Truly 5 Stars! We couldn't recommend staying here highly enough! Impeccable Accommodation, Incredible Hospitality, Irresistible Cooking & Impressive People! We loved every second of our stay with you, so much so that we are already planning our next trip back. We feel like we've known you for years Maggie & Phil. Huge thank you!
