“Fairy Falls Stay”
Reviewed 2 March 2014

We stayed at The Fairy Falls Hotel for two nights and I must say we were pleasantly surprised how much we enjoyed it, arrived late on a Friday night but just in time to order a meal which was pretty good
The rooms are in a separate block and we stayed in a first floor room which was extremely spacious and dog friendly, the room was clean, comfortable and warm and despite what some have said about thin walls we weren't disturbed and neither could we see a problem with a light outside I guess a long walk in the hills followed by a big meal and a couple of pints does help you sleep

Breakfast was great and lots of it and the owner and staff were all very friendly and helpful

Overall a good place to stay with some lovely walking on your doorstep

Room Tip: First floor room

We stayed at the fairy falls for one night whilst walking Tryffan & doing zip world, stayed with 3 adults & 3 children in 2 family room we had 2 dogs with us too. On arrival welcome was very friendly, rooms basic but spotlessly clean, plenty of hot water & tea/coffee facilities in room, plus fresh towels. Ate in pub all had a great hearty pub meal & was excellent value for money. Log burner & was quite busy so jolly atmosphere.breakfast next day was great, lady who served it was very accommodating especially to the kids . All in all perfect for stopover, would def stay here again. Very dog friendly too.

Room Tip: Bottom rooms little bit noisy with people above but most people staying here are walkers and usually...

Fairy Falls Hotel is situated at Trefriw, approx 20 minutes drive from Conwy, North Wales.

The management and staff here are friendly and helpful. They made my wife and I and our two Chocolate Labradors very welcome and allow dogs in all parts of the pub, restaurant and the chalets. The food served here is of a very high standard. The chalets are clean and spacious. There are 6 chalets in total, 3 upstairs and 3 downstairs. The upstairs are accessed via approx 10 steps and the 3 downstairs are all level access.

My only negative comment regarding these chalets are that the lighting that is outside the doors of the rooms is switched on all night which means that the rooms are not in darkness through the night. For someone like me who prefers total darkness to get to sleep, means that my stay here was not a restful one.

This is obviously my personal preference but I felt it necessary to add this to my review.

Can I once again add that this accommodation is dog friendly and for this reason, I am sure that we will return here very soon.

Room Tip: If like me you require darkness to sleep, bring an eye-mask. Also, the walls and floors are very t...

After reading reviews we were really looking forward to our stay....... however in arrival we were met with a dirty room, cleatly had not been cleaned. We turned back the duvet to reveal a bed full of hair, stained with blood and the carpet not hoovered, the bathroom old and tired with mould in the ceiling and dirty fingerprints on the door. Walls were stained and thick dust and grime was visible on the skirting boards. We refused to stay and left. The young girl begins the bar was very apologetic however.

Nice room, basic but clean. Bar was fine, had a great meal at the pub down the road though. Would return, but not with the family, it is too basic. Cracking breakfast! Great parking, no trouble there. Bar had a few locals, but friendly enough!

Basically a Pub with accommodation in separate block. Ideal stop off. Room spacious but poor sound proofing. Tea, coffee, biscuits and range of shower products.
Good pub food. Landlord and staff friendly and accommodating. Plenty of car parking.

Booked a last minute room as a family. Great welcome and great location. Owners very nice and accommodation very clean. Great value for money. Good beer in the pub and breakfast very nice. Locals were welcoming. Rooms located in motel style building in car park so no noise from pub. Best nights sleep I've had in a long while. We will be staying here again.

Room Tip: Owners are flexible on rooms. Great for family rooms. All 6 rooms together motel style in building i...
