I use this hotel regularly for business and I always get a warm well from the owner Lindsay. The rooms are good with good views of the river, some are very large and great for families. It's very close to Snowdonia so great for holidaying. The food is cooked freshly by Lindsays wife and is healthy and of very high quality. Can't really complain, only highly recommend.

We first came to the Princes Arms in Feb' 99. We were late booking and as a valentines weekend they were full. Our tiny room was wonderful and suited our needs perfectly. Over the years we came back but then along came our son and staying in this wonderful hotel seemed a challenge too far. We've just had a fantastic weekend as a family of 3. A lovely room awaited us and the familiar fantastic hospitality of the owner Lindsay hadn't changed a bit in the 10 years since our last stay. Foodies you will love this hotel though bring your loose clothes for the last day. North Wales doesn't get better than this. We'll be back and won't leave it so long next time.

Stayed for business, hotelier and staff are very friendly. The food is good and the rooms clean and warm. Able to book us in at short notice for variable periods of stay. They were also able to accommodate invoicing arrangements.

My wife and I were asked to join our friends to celebrate a milestone birthday and we went to the Princess Arms for Sunday lunch. As there were 28 in the party we were shown into the events room which is separate to the main dining room. A comfy lounge with ample chairs and a bar was our first port of call before being taking into a large dining area with a very impressive long oak table that sat 20 guests. The other 8 in our party were sat adjacent to us. The service was good and the food excellent. There was quite a variety of meals chosen from the menu and I didn’t hear a note of dissatisfaction from anyone. A lot of the friends had been for Sunday lunch before and would certainly go back again.

I came across the Princes Arms by searching on Trip Advisor and we stayed over the August bank holiday weekend-three of us in 2 rooms (room 3 and 14) . Room 3 is a lovely room with a great TV and great views over the river Conway, a pink bathroom needs updating but perfectly acceptable-we paid £90 per night for this room. Our relative stayed in room 14 and paid £45 a night for single occupancy; this room has its drawbacks-is quite dark due to the trees close to the window and has some awkward steps up and down just outside the door but our relative thought it was reasonably well appointed and the bathroom was good apart from some problems with the water pressure, if you want a shower, overall very good value for money. Excellent breakfasts. We also ate here every night and all thought the food was excellent with a reasonably priced wine list. If you like real ale you will be disappointed as the beer "on tap" was Tetley's so we stuck to the bottled beers (Newcastle Brown and Becks lager) and wine. There is a large lounge which wasn't used much by anyone whilst we were there -looks quite elegant but the most of the chairs and sofas not comfortable for more than a short time-maybe this was why(?). A word about Lindsay and Anne- they are great hosts- Lindsay is front of house and apart from the cleaner and some staff in the restaurant seems to do everything himself! On my last night I lost an earring and told Lindsay and Anne- a few days after arriving home- my lost earring arrived in the post-fantastic customer service-thank you very much Lindsay. One final comment about the hotel web-site -we think its limited information and photos does not do the hotel justice.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of the river.

We have just returned to the Princes Arms for a late break and it is just like returning home. Lindsay and Ann made us very welcome and the food was superb. Our usual room looks out over the Conwy valley and our stay here helped us to relax after exploring the Snowdonia scenery. The hotel is in a quiet setting and the hospitality is second to none

Room Tip: All the rooms overlook the Conwy valley

I'd heard of the Princes Arms and after a long walk up to Swallow Falls we were looking for somewhere to eat. This seemed an ideal opportunity to pop in on the way home. The Bistro was empty when we arrived shortly after six. After seven people started to arrive and the place soon filled up.The food was excellent and exceptionally good value. I had sea bass and the wife chose the vegetarian lasagna. For her to be impressed is quite an achievement as she is normally very difficult to please. The icing on the cake was definitely the wine. From the excellent list we chose the Viognier a Sicilian white and were not disappointed. All in all a most enjoyable evening, well recommended for value and quality.
