Just came back from the great stay at this guest house. Iv'e booked Yr Hafod Country House to have a relaxing break away for my Husbands birthday.I must say it was most welcome stay we ever had.Located in lovely little village.
Owners are so nice and welcoming, hotel so cosy, rooms decorated to perfection and very clean.Views from the room are breathtaking. Had a 3 course dinner and must say it was so delicious, all freshly cooked and so tasty.
In the morning breakfast choice is great-I had a traditional Welsh breakfast and it was superb.
It was our 1st time to visit this guest house, but had a feeling like we visited old friends,so relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Pictures on the website don't do it's justice.I would highly recommend Yr Hafod Country House to everyone.

Fantastic B&B, wonderful people and amazing food!
We stayed here in August 2013 and can honestly say it was the best holiday we have had. Everything about Yr Hafod Country House was outstanding, we will definitely be visiting again. We cannot recommend it enough!

A fantastic bed and breakfast. It is beautifully decorated, very comfortable and spotlessly clean throughout, but the undoubted highlight was the service. We were very well looked after from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. And the food was fabulous!

Set into the steep side of the Conwy valley, on the edge of the charming village of Trefriw, this is something of a find. In fact, as there are only three letting bedrooms, I would prefer to keep it to myself but that would hardly be fair to the young owners Shaun and Leila, who have done a splendid job in refurbishing what had become a very run-down establishment. The rooms are not enormous but perfectly adequate in size, fully equipped and beautifully presented. Good hanging space for clothes (and plenty of hangers, not always the case in hotels), drawers, hospitality tray, hair-dryer, tv etc. High-quality cotton bedlinen and new carpets throughout added to our pleasure. Bathrooms (more accurately shower rooms) are splendid and come with good toiletries. Our corner shower was one of the best we've found anywhere. Each of the three rooms has its own access from outside and a small balcony area with table and chairs. Ours overlooked the car park and had a magnificent view across the valley. The other two, on the other side of the house, don't quite share that lovely view but may be a touch more private. The thick stone walls of this old house helped us stay reasonably cool while outside temperatures touched 27degC. Breakfast, prepared and served by Shaun, is top class. The comprehensive selection included excellent local kippers and omelettes as well as the usual bacon, eggs, sausages etc. and a nice fresh fruit salad. The house is occupied by the owners and their two small children plus two dogs and other assorted animals but you won't see any of these unless you want to! We did not take up the invitation to make use of the attractive garden as we were too busy with other things. Shaun and Leila are charming attentive hosts and made our three-night stay most enjoyable. We shall certainly return very soon.

Room Tip: All are good but No. 3 probably has the best view.

Recently stayed here on business and was not disappointed. Walking into the room was like walking into a beautiful home, I immediately felt relaxed there was so much attention to detail in the rooms to ensure that they were comfortable and cosy yet stylish and modern. The owners are lovely and very welcoming and invite you fully into their little haven, breakfast was without a doubt wonderful!!! I would love to come back here again very soon! Stayed here for 2 nights with my sister. The rooms are really clean, comfortable and cosy. Beautifully presented. The food was fabulous - fresh, homemade and delicious. We enjoyed our stay enormously and found Shaun and Leila so helpful and friendly. Would fully recommend staying here to anyone!

Both the double and twin rooms were furnished beautifully - with great attention to detail. The hosts were very welcoming and shared a lot of stories about the area and the history of their special building. We really enjoyed our time here exploring Trefriw after extending our holiday in Wales to include the Snowdonia National Park at the last minute.
