What a lovely find this country house was, it's set in the quiet village of Trefriw away from the maddening crowds if there is any in Snowdonia. We had room 2 a very large room with its own terrace, with a private entrance into our room just perfect, as we could come and go as we please.
Breakfast was a typical Welsh breakfast a great to start the day. The owner was a local and his knowledge, certainly helped us plan our three days there. We eat in the restaurant on the Friday night and I can only say that the service and the food was excellent.
All the ingredients are from local butchers and greengrocer, I said to Shaun that I would very much like a special steak on the Friday night and it was no trouble for him to go out and get from the butcher. We will certainly be returning in the future.

Room Tip: All the rooms have a own private terrace which allows you to come in and out of your room at any tim...

A real home from home with a warm welcome and a restaurant with 5 star cuisine. Shaun and Leila made us very comfortable with an immaculate and well appointed room. Ideal for a break in the superb Welsh countryside, easy access to all the attractions. We will certainly recommend this lovely hotel to our friends and hope to return later this year for another very enjoyable holiday. Well done guys, see you soon.

We stayed for 3 nights and for two of these also had dinner. Shaun and Leila have a great place which is ideally situated for north Wales destinations. Shaun does all the cooking and produces a great breakfast and superb dishes for dinner. The cheesecake crème brulee should be on your must-eat list if you stay for dinner. The waiting staff are very good and the whole experience top notch.

A lovely place to stay. Shaun and Leila have created a high quality but homely B&B. The rooms had everything you could need. The external access was very helpful when you didn't want to go through the main room if it was busy or had walking shoes on etc. Shaun's greeting was very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble, all you had to do was ask. There is a lovely bar/seating area to have a cup of tea on arrival rather than in your room, however if the weather is good you can sit on your own patio to unwind after your journey.

Breakfast was very good, lots of options to suit all tastes and appetites, with anything cooked done to order so it couldn't be fresher.

We also ate here in the evening and the food was excellent. Additional staff were working front of house while Shaun slaves away in the kitchen. All worked well together and were very friendly, if you're wondering where to eat just stay here.

We don't often go to Wales but I'm already looking for an excuse to stay here again. The location is great for heading all over north Wales and into Snowdonia.

My wife and I stayed at the end of February 2014. It was quiet (given time of year etc) and we were given a lovely welcome. Nice cosy bar / log fire to have a drink on arrival, and then a great meal later on in the restaurant.

Room was great - clean and very comfortable.

Our hosts were very friendly and made the stay very enjoyable. Would definately stay again.

Had a wonderful stay with friends here. The food was excellent alongside great staff and hosts, who were friendly, funny and patient, lol.
Evening meal was absolutely tremendous, as was breakfast. I had some (approx 6....maybe) Glyn Farm cider which was also cracking.
The room was lovely and clean, fresh with a brilliant shower so good that I could have spent had an hour in there. Alas, the wife also wanted to use it before breakfast so I to make do with 20 mins.
We'll definitely be going again.
