“Excellent, Friendly Guesthouse”
Reviewed 11 September 2013

Was welcomed by Margaret who showed me to my room in a separate block with an en suite shower room. Nice and spacious, spotlessly clean. I was asked what time I would like breakfast in the morning which was nice. The breakfast was of excellent quality and as I was travelling on my own it was nice that Margaret took the time out to chat to me without being intrusive. Will certainly stay there again and very reasonably priced and a good location.

This is a more old fashioned traditional guest house with some rooms sharing a bathroom. It is really close to pembrey country park which was ideal for our pony club event there. 15 minutes will get you to the park by foot. There is a lovely cycle/running track on the coast and the scenery is spectacular. We had a very warm welcome from Margaret and she has a great knowledge of the local area. Rooms were old fashioned but very clean and comfortable with tea and coffee facilities and small flat screen tv. Breakfast was lovely. If you're looking for luxury this isn't for you but if you need somewhere clean, comfortable and welcoming then give it a go. Good value for money too.

I was welcomed quite warmly by Margaret who showed me to the detached annexe, of modest size with an en suite. Comfortable bed (2 pillows), easy chair, shower with good control and ready hot water - vital after a long walk (from Loughor). Good breakfast and Margaret very kindly made me a sandwich for lunch as there were no shops en route to Kidwelly.

Margaret catered for both my husband's early morning breakfast and a later start for myself and our 6yr old son. My husband was racing at Pembrey motorsport centre which is only 5mins down the road. It offered ample safe parking, with a double entrance drive making it so easy with a trailer. The bedroom was comfortable, warm and peaceful with views of the sea. Would recommend to all.

We got a very warm welcome from the owner - Margaret. Wonderful Welsh breakfast complete with Laverbread!!! very good location, easy to get into Swansea by train, very near the wonderful Pembrey beach and National Park. Lots of very nice restaurants to eat nearby. It was really home from home. Room was very comfortable and warm. Nothing was too much trouble,

Room Tip: Although on a main road, very quiet at night.
