The hotel was easy to find by sat nav and wifi was good BUT this is not enough to justify paying £55/night for. The bed was in a diabolical state and the owners should be highly embarrassed at charging for a comfortable room that is not to an adequate standard. The mattress needs disposing of due to the sheer amount of raised springs - 2 days later I still feel bruised. Be warned... Secondly the breakfast was very disappointing, it took roughly 20 mins to be 'acknowledged' and a further 15 mins for our order of just 2 scrambled egg on toast to arrive... Without drinks, littered with eggshell and soggy toast. Needless to say we won't be returning and the hotel manager was supplied all feedback upon check out.

I chose Albion House Accommodation at short notice due to a 7 day work commitment in the Pembroke region. I initially chose the accommodation on the good past reviews given and I found the couple that own and run Albion House to be lovely and genuine people. I ended up staying in 2 different apartments within Albion House and I did find everything in the apartments to be very clean...which should be a hospitality minimum standard anyway. Unfortunately, I did find that just about everything in the apartments was either broken or in a very poor state of repair. A few examples are; broken toaster, noisy fridge, filthy washing machine, TV not working, various furniture and carpets damaged and smelling foisty, floor rails lifting with screws missing, door handles to cupboards hanging off and missing, window latches falling off, toilet roll holder falling off wall, toilet seats loose and falling off, shower screen seal falling off and bathroom tap fittings loose...there were other issues but I don't wish to sound like a whiner. At £55/night cost, if I was in the region for a holiday or short break with my family I must admit I would have booked-out of Albion House on the day I arrived and found somewhere else to stay. But, as I was only in the region for work reasons and found it to be 10 minutes from my work location I tolerated the situation as I left early for work in the morning and returned late at night. Aside from that, I did think it would be okay for someone who was backpacking and needed to rest a head for a night.
As you can guess I didn’t find the place too relaxing and I left a day early!

My review is of the self-catering apartment Drake, which we booked through the cottages4u website. We stayed for nearly a week.
Main bad points:
Sound insulation poor - this apartment is on the ground floor, for the majority of our stay we had contractors staying in the B&B accommodation above and could here everything they did or said!
Wi-fi signal was poor - this was one of the main selling points for the apartment on the cottages4u site.
TV signal also poor - useless on a bad weather day, which in Wales is unfortunately common!

Also:
Door handles didn't work properly, no water from taps in the downstairs toilet, bulbs not replaced in spotlights, half the light switches didn't work, one uncomfortable bed, oven didn't work, shaving sockets in both bedrooms didn't work and the windows upstairs had no safety catches.

Good points:
Good central location.
Great for a short stay.
Secure parking in basement car park.
Apartment was cleaned to a good standard.
Standard of furnishings/fittings was good.

As you may have worked out, we didn't really take to the place - we left a day early!

Stayed here for four nights over Easter. We had room 8, an apartment for four people. The accommodation was excellent. Everything you need is provided. Tv in the kids room kept them happy as did the free wifi. The car was kept in an undercroft car park which was safe.
Close to the apartment is the Shipwright Inn. A lovely little pub serving good pub food. Wished it had more real ales however than just the one on tap.

My heart wasn't exactly set aflutter by this place but it was inexpensive, central and welcoming, which is all that matters for travellers passing through. I couldn't imagine it being much fun for an entire holiday (the cooked breakfast is rancid, for one thing) but it's just the job for one night only

My sister and I stayed one night when attending a funeral. The outside of the building is impressive and the interior has been well renovated. It is clean and welcoming. Our room was large and well equipped- it would have been perfect for a short break. We had a lovely home cooked breakfast and nothing was too much trouble.
The location is not wonderful but we both felt safe walking out and about.
I would recommend Albion House and we intend to return with families for a short break later in the year.

Albion House is a well located, lovely historical building close to all the amenities for Pembroke Dock. Spacious rooms, free wi-fi, great breakfast what else do you need? Secure parking under the building is very useful, you can walk to a couple of pubs, across the street is a general store should you need snackettes.
