I stayed here for 5 nights in June as part of a business course which was being held in the hotel.

Good things: the staff are very good, professional, helpful and polite.

Bad: the food. It ranged from ok to utterly awful whilst we were there.

The hotel itself is fine, it's quite basic, rooms are an ok size; there was enough room to do some work in the evening, but they're pretty average. All clean and tidy though and perfectly adequate for what I needed. There is a nice courtyard in the centre of the hotel which had it been a bit warmer when I stayed would have been very pleasant. Part of the hotel overlooks the bay which is very pretty.

The conference facilities were quite good; we had a good sized room overlooking the bay.

The food was, sadly, really not very good. I understand that there were issues in the kitchen whilst we were there, but the upshot was that the food was of incredibly variable quality - my meal on the first night was very nice, subsequent meals were something of pot luck as to whether you had decent food or not. We did bring the issues to the managements' attention and I'm sure that they will have been dealing with it since.

I'd stay there again, but I may choose to eat elsewhere...

my husband and i had to come down to pembroke on business but decided to make a weekend break of it was going to stay a t travel lodge but saw this hotel and changed to this instead , best decision ever, Very professional on arrival and staff very friendly, our room was excellent with lovley views over the bridge, the rrom was spacious and very clean ( i am a fanatic on the cleanlinees issue) the bed was huge king or super king, lovley bathroom . Breakfast was a pleasure sitting in a window seat, the staff were very friendly again and nothing to much trouble, the food was of really good quality very lean bacon and a nice choice of items although I being a vegatarian would of liked the option of vegetarian sauseage, but stillhad a lovley breakfast from the choice of cereals and youurts along with eggs mushrrom beand toast etc. The position of the hotel is good as you are only a two minuite dirve from pembroke dock with large store of asda tesco argos etc and only 15mins from penborke with its castel and quaint town. We would definatley stay again.

Room Tip: use the internet to book its cheaper

Hotel location is very good. Food was excellent. Only problem was disturbing noises from adjacent rooms. Hopefully that is not the case with superior rooms. I would recommend this hotel and visit again.

The staff is young and don't care. Despite the tour director's assurances that every hotel had been contacted and there would be porters to convey our baggage to the rooms, the Cleddau Bridge front desk staff knew nothing about it. It was a sorry sight to see our bus driver and tour director dragging the luggage in, and elderly members of our tour (one with a walker) trying to carry luggage to their rooms, when there were two healthy young women on the desk, not busy at all, just talking to each other and ignoring the struggle in front of them. SHAME! We had an unfortunate start to our visit, needless to say.
It seems to be a mom and pop operation and maybe they do their own repairs - the hot and cold water taps are reversed - so watch out! Our bathroom light had a noisy fan attached on the same switch, so during the night it was impossible to avoid making a racket and waking the other person. The bathroom had a bathtub, but so small it was difficult to get into. No facecloths were provided.
The rooms varied. Our room ( room #18) was small and overlooked the traffic circle and bridge aproach outside. The noise of traffic ended around midnight, however. The beds were too soft, and hard on the back.
The cleaner threw out our electrical adapter for the wall plug which, since we came from North America, we needed in order to plug in our small electrical appliances. We tracked her down, but she wouldn't look for it - said she'd already thrown out the garbage, so that was that.
The hotel restaurant food was not fancy, but portions were generous - we ate rather overcooked turkey breast, and roast pork.
It is hard to find a hotel to take a bus group in this area, so we all agreed to "make do", but if you are on your own I'd recommend somewhere else. At the very least, ask for a room looking out on the water, or onto the central quad.

My wife and I stayed for one night only. Our room was very moden and clean, we could not find fault with anything at the hotel. The room and staff were first class. Great views..We will be stopping at this hotel the next time we visit the area. A very good 3 star hotel.

From the previous reviews I wasn't quite sure what to expect at this hotel. However, when we arrived we were pleasantly surprised. We were traveling as a family and their family rooms are quite large with a separate bedroom and a sofa bed for our teenager. Everything in the room was very clean and we found all of the staff to be very helpful. The beds were very comfortable. What I was amazed at from talking to the staff is that they are nearly all from the local area and very few have ventured more than 50 miles from it. However, they were great at explaining how to explore Pembrokeshire . Location wise this hotel is very convenient for tourists. It is only minutes from Tenby, a good starting point to explore the Pembrokeshire coastline (Fishguard is about 30 mins drive), and only five minutes from Pembroke and Pembroke Castle. We did take others advice and not eat dinner at the hotel. It seemed quite pricey and I am not one for eating in the hotel anyway. It turned out to be quite convenient after a days worth of sightseeing to relax at their bar and have a couple of pints.
Breakfast was included and served buffet style. I can't say they had the best selection, but it was adequate. The morning staff of servers didn't seem all that enthusiastic or friendly but they did tend to getting you coffee or tea.
This is not a cheap place to stay. However, it is in line with other hotels in the area and located in a peaceful spot that is easy to access. I was able to get some great nighttime views of the Cleddau Bridge and the opposite bank from the rear of their car park. Overall, I recommend this hotel as a base for exploring Pembrokeshire and areas south (one day we did the Gower peninsula which is only 1 1/2 hours drive) and at the same time staying in a peaceful and pleasant hotel. The hotel is staffed 24 hours a day and as others have said they do tend to your needs.
