“Still the best!”
Reviewed 3 July 2014

I've reviewed Halen Môr before and have dined there several times since and never been disappointed. My wife and I recently celebrated the twentieth anniversary of our first date with an excellent dinner here. My choice of main was the Hake and it was quite simply the best fish dish I've ever been served in fifty years of eating out, perfectly cooked and seasoned and a good sized portion. All this on an evening when the chef had been let down by some of his staff and was running the restaurant with just a sous chef to help.

“Very good”
Reviewed 16 June 2014

We found this restaurant on Tripadvisor when looking for restaurants in Milford Haven. We ate here two times, one time for lunch and one time for dinner. The restaurant is modern with a homy touch, not very big, chairs ok. Cerianne was very friendly and made us feel welcome. For lunch we had a few fish dishes from their Grazing Menu, the mackerel, the scallop salad and the crab martini, with some bread. Very fresh and original. For dinner we had the Fish Special which is a bit expensive with 20 Pounds. It had 5 different sorts of fish, also very good. The fries, presented in a little bucket were nice too, but a bit fat. Dessert also very good. All in all good food, original, fresh, a bit more expensive than we are used to, but worth it.

“Overpriced”
Reviewed 15 June 2014

Tried this establishment after reading the rave reviews and as suspected did not live up to the reviews.
Booked a table for six for an evening meal, menu was quite good with a good choice of fish, starters were OK nothing exceptional, desserts were excellent, and a good choice of wine.On the down side sitting for two and half hours on solid wooden seats was numbing, one of our party had a piece of plastic in the food,we never saw the owner or the chef to apologise, the waitress had to deal with the problem, obviously she had permission not to charge for one dessert.Price wise it was OTT for the quality and ambience, paying that price you do expect coming away feeling that you'd had a fabulous experience.

We wish to thank you for your feedback on Trip Advisor, and we apologise for not replying sooner. First of all we would like to apologise for the unsatisfactory experience you had with us. There was a lack of communication between ourselves and the staff, and we had not been made aware of concerns throughout your evening.
If we had known of your issues throughout the evening please be assured it would have been rectified.

We also understand the seats are hard but now we have addressed the situation with addition of comfy cushions.

We feel the price we charge is acceptable for the quality of the local produce we serve and we apologise if you feel otherwise.

Kind regards

Adam and Cerianne

“A gem in a great setting”
Reviewed 30 May 2014

The Resturant has only been open for 6 months but it has built a great reputation and justifiably so. The menu is not extensive but is varied and based on fresh local produce.
Both the fish and meat main courses were excellent, tasty and well presented. The desserts were to die for and very professionally prepared, the "Chef's Little Treats" were a delight as was the Caramelised Rhubarb & Lemon Custard Tart.
All in all, great value in an attractive setting overlooking the marina.

“Iain & Jules”
Reviewed 30 May 2014

In Milford Haven for a week staying in an appartment overlooking the marina we wanted somewhere nice to eat while on holiday.
Couple of minor things to start with. We had to ask for missing cutlery and ordered diet coke which was brought to table in cans. Also candle on table but not lit.
Food was good, some of it very good, with some interesting flavours / ingredients on the plates. You dont get big portions, but adequate and I would much rather have the quality you get here over quantity.I recommend the lamb which was very good. Atmosphere very relaxed and informal and prices reasonable.
