The Cambrian in Tredegar is a pub hotel in the centre of town and as such suffers the unavoidable downside of noise disruption till midnight and beyond on certain nights of the week. The bar, however, is very welcoming and a separate entrance keeps a nice level of privacy for guests.
The rooms are spacious, exceptionally well presented and very clean. Large ensuites and power showers are very welcome. Some rooms are little more roomy than others, but the smaller rooms have a cosy charm. The beds are very comfy (too comfy for some).
I would like to make a special mention of the Bar Manager at The Cambrian, Chris. On arrival Chris was exceptionally helpful and welcoming and remained friendly and approachable throughout. He is truly an asset to the establishment.More
