We spent this New Years eve here and it was brilliant from the food which included whole salmon and oysters to the room overlooking the bay. The music was great and had us dancing the night away. Although the weather wasn't great, as it would have been lovely to go for a walk along the lovely coast here, the hotel more than made up for it. The staff and service was also faultless.

Room Tip: I think a lot of the rooms overlook the bay, so through choice would choose a bay view. They are no...

We have been putting golf teams up at the Peninsula for years. The staff, the accommodation, facilities and willingness to help have never been less the excellent from the restaurant manager to the reservations lady Ann we have always had so much help. Located on a wonderful bay full of little fishing boats. Meals and bar meals really good value and a Dinner / Dance I recently attended was as good as any I have been to in recent years. Mike Vaudin. Food very good, staff friendly and helpful. Hotel in a fine position and yards from the nearest bay.
A large car park and close to a bus stop that gets you into town and around the Island.
Not in a built up part of the Island and plenty of lovely walks from the hotel.

Room Tip: pick a room at the front of the hotel which will give you a view of the bay across the road. the roa...

The first impression you get as you enter the hotel is brown everywhere. The bedroom doors are painted a dark purple with brown surrounds which makes the whole place seem rather dark, however in the evening you get the opposite effect as there are far too many lights on in the lounge area and it is very bright in the dining room. The bedroom was fine except for the fabric shower curtain which sticks to you when wet , the tiny cardboard like towels and the hairdryer which has hardly any power - take your own if you want to blow dry your hair! On a positive note the food both for breakfast and dinner was very good with plenty of choice and we got good service from the staff. It was good value for what we paid which included a hire car.

Attended a RAFA European Area Conference at this venue over the last weekend.
Found the venue very dated, similar to a mid 1960's 'hi de hi' set.
The furnishings and the bedrooms are extremely tired and in desperate need of major refurbishment.
All the 'Non-English' staff (think all of them!) were efficient, helpful and very friendly.
As for Conference facilities:
at the first coffee break the delegates gathered at a table only to find an urn of hot water and a large can of Nescafe instant coffee, a small concrete stone about the size of a 10p piece which we were informed was a biscuit! none were consumed - all were left on the table with pieces of delegate's teeth and fillings!

Room Tip: Why not try a different hotel first, compare prices and then come back to this one. It is on the bu...
