I stayed in this hotel for the second time this year in October having previously stayed there in March. On the previous occasion I called this hotel "bordering on excellent", well I can tell you this time it was absolutely excellent. What makes it that way ?? Firstly the staff, from the girls on reception, to the bar persons to the waiters and waitresses and the cleaners, every single one of them is a credit to the hotel.
We had a lovely room, front of the hotel with a sea view, it was wonderful.
Breakfasts are from full English to continental and are great, buffet style.
We had dinner one evening and it was fabulous, wine not overly priced ( a bit more expensive than some places, but it is a hotel)
The pool area and gardens were clean and tidy and the pool was top notch and not busy at any time of the day.
Would I recommend this hotel yes I would, we got a deal, bed and breakfast but included a hire car for the duration of our stay, brilliant value.
Yes I would go back tomorrow!

A quiet, functional hotel with spacious rooms, fairly good buffet breakfast, ample parking. Wi-fi does not really work in the rooms which is probably what is stated on the website but not on third-party sites

the peninsular hotel is beautiful, there is a beach both in front, and behind the hotel, suitable for kds, rock pools and sand, The rooms are lovely, spotlessly clean.the bed was the most comfortable i have ever slept in, and lovely and quiet, My husband and i are in our 50's and we were definetly the youngest there, but this could change in high season. we were there at the end of September, there was entertainment in the hotel, although this was definetly aimed at the older clientel, it was definetly not lively. The food was delicious, we ate in the bar most nights, the staff are all really friendly despite the long hours they all seem to work. The pool was like bath water, and despite the weather not been great, we swam in the pool most days, you just didnt want to get out.our only complaint was not with the hotel but with the shops and kiosks, most of the bays have a kiosk which sell, ice cream, coffee, tea, and snacks, however we found most of them closed or closing, with very little stock left, there was still lots of tourists on the island, however come the end of september everything shuts.

Booked an upgrade to front facing Twin Room with extras; extra cost was not an issue we were informed that this was fine by a very helpful lady, hence we were quite happy this was in place. On arrival, what can only be explained as total loss of control we were giving the key to room 318, which was a corner roof room with velox style windows- Double Bed plus Single under the slopping roof.
As a round the world traveller this fell well short of any upgrade; on complaining the excuses flowed. As a person fully qualified in Hotel Standards by BA now in my 80 plus years-OH-Dear. The restaurant and bar staff were to the highest standards along with all the presentation and meals-Top Drawer.
Room allocation needs questions asked- many costumers do not complain but just do not come back but also tell their friends.

The hotel is ideally suited away from the centre of the island giving us direct access to the stunning coast walks and amazing seaside scenery. From our window we can see the bay, with the myriad colourful boats bobbing at high tide, across the island to the Islands of Herm and Sark in the Distance. Looking out towards the sea itself, a number of the fortified towers are clearly visible along with more recent buildings from WW2. The room itself appears to have just bee very tastefully redecorated, having a very comfy 4 poster bed. The room was kept clean during our stay by staff who always managed at least a cheery greeting. As soon as we arrived, the staff where more than helpful, with a mix of youth and experience making our stay a delight. The food at dinner was well priced, tasty and there was no waiting. The Local beer is delicious (if a beer ever could be called that!) with the prices equivalent to London pubs. We didn't try the pool, however the finger test did tell us that it was warm. The local ducks seemed to enjoy it. There is plenty of car parking at the back of the hotel, adjacent to the challenging 7 hole pitch and put. This is one of the few hotels that I would return to due to its Staff alone.

Room Tip: Sea view rooms are fantastic, 328 was extermly good
