Lovely location, wonderful views, peaceful holiday location. Plenty of lovely walks & places to explore.
Very modern well equipped house with sea views and easy access to beach and coastal walks. Ideal layout for a large party. Whatever the weather the house provides an excellent base to tour and explore.
With lovely views across to the sea, and a well kept garden to the rear, this extensive property would suit many larger parties and was well kitted out for children. The four bedrooms were adequately furnished and spacious and fitted with plenty of hanging space and clothes hangers. Parking at the front was easy and could accommodate three cars with ease. The kitchen area and the utility room had all the equipment you'd need. A short walk across the common takes you to sandy beaches, fringed with little cafes and toilets, so plenty for children to enjoy on the sand. Further afield, Pembroke Bay has a good beachside restaurant whilst in the other direction, the restaurant at the marina is a short stroll to. The islands bus service is excellent and a number 11 bus passes by at the bottom of Bunker Hill, just a short walk from the house. Finally, check out the supply of essential foodstuffs left by previous renters before venturing into Waitrose else you could find you are doubling up on many items. For the more adventurous, a hire car is essential.
In a great quiet location, beautiful views over the coastline of setting sun. Super enclosed warm garden, perfect for BBQ dinners. We were able to walk and cycle to many beaches and also out for dinner at the Marina and to buy delicious locally grown tomatoes. The bus service was also easy and excellent.
The house itself was spacious, light and airy and decorated to a high standard but - perhaps a little hard to relax with young kids for the fear of damaging something!
Lovely modern house with good views of common and sea.Large house, even with six adults, two children and a baby we didn't feel cramped. Nice large garden and very well equipped for families.
Walks to common and beaches right from the front door.
Ample parking though busses might be best for trips into town given the parking.
We had a struggle getting up the driveway in our hired car. Rear wheel drive, in spite of Trudy,s adviceq, we found it very slippery. if you are energetic.......we were not! Leave car in parking area at bottom of hill.
The house is beautifully appointed and has lovely views over l,ancresse green and bay.
Pembroke bay is flat, golden sands, clean, ideal for old foggiest like us, and only few steps down from road parking, only short distance from le touzel
The property is spacious, beautifully kept, clean and extremely comfortable. Slept well every night (sea air/good beds). Good communication with owners beforehand and after stay. Lots of useful information given. Very friendly neighbours to help as well. Enjoyed sitting on the upstairs balcony just taking in the views and sunsets. Good opportunity to go for local walks, cycle around the island and, of course, taste the great food on offer. So nice to have restaurants/cafes you can walk to (beach cafes have fantastic food as well). Great location near to beach (walking distance), golf course - everywhere really on Guernsey. Actually one of our surprising best holidays to date. Children now 14 and 11 and so much outdoor activity to choose from. Especially loved the RIB trip to Sark caves. Great weather helped but you could stay in this property and just enjoy any season. Genuinely superb property and a privilege to stay here.
