My wife and I spent 2 nights here on our way back to London from the Northwest. Our hosts Miv and John had been held up by traffic in London so could not meet us. However they had arranged for others to meet us upon our arrival. Very thoughtful.
We had the loft room - huge! And the rocking horse was an unexpected delight.
John and Miv were most gracious, even inviting us in for a drink after dinner to meet family members staying with them - very thoughtful, we felt.
Breakfasts were hearty and helpful, and our hosts were most helpful in suggesting places to visit and to eat.
Another thing - if you enter the postcode of the area into your satnav, it takes you right to the front door!
We have no hesitation in recommending this B&B. It's a gem!

Thank you for such lovely comments-it makes it all worth while when I read things like this. It sounded as though the meeting arrangements were made easily, but in reality I was in a panic in case no-one was home to meet you! What would we do without mobile phones!!

Miv and John were great hosts. When we arrived they had a cup of tea and cake waiting. Everything was spotless, the rooms were were ready and having just finished part of the Ridgeway walk was one of the most pleasant surprises of the walk. Definitely the best accommodation we found. It was better than some hotels I have stayed in with fantastic personal service.

Ridgeway Lodge stands in it's own grounds and is on the Ridgeway, surrounded by farmland about a mile from Princes Risborough.

I liked everything about Ridgeway Lodgeand would love to find a reason to go back.

Miv and John, our hosts at Ridgeway Lodge, were very accommodating and welcoming and we enjoyed sharing travel stories and learning about the area, over our poached eggs and toast and lemon curd at breakfast. ( Miv so graciously shared this recipe with us.)
The lodge was located withing walking distance to the train station and the town of Princes Risborough. We enjoyed our walks into town as we admired the quaint architecture and beautiful landscapes. On our last day we were able to walk into town, purchase wine and cheese, and invite our friends, as well as Miv and John, to a goodbye gathering on the patio. We were able to capture our friends, new and old, with a snapshot that captured the perfect ending to a wonderful vacation.
We would definitely return to Ridgeway Lodge.

This was the perfect ending to a wonderful vacation.

The Ridgeway Lodge is in a lovely location, nestled at the bottom of the Chilterns. And being right along the Chilterns section of the Ridgeway Trail, it was very convenient for us walkers. The garden was well-kept and lovely to walk in, but what struck us most was the cleanliness and comfort of the Studio room. Miv and John were also great hosts and kindly leant us OS maps for our walks. This was one of the best B&Bs we stayed at during our holiday.
