Lovely village setting where you can walk through fields of corn food is good as well with a good selection of real ale. Lamb with dipping breads starter for me, goats cheese followed by swordfish for my wife, very nice. Staff very helpful too.

“Totally stuffed!”
Reviewed 22 June 2014

On a Sunday evening not easy to find a local pub that serves food. However, the Sunday Evening Menu was quite extensive and the meal was freshly cooked, obviously from raw ingredients and was absolutely super served by lovely friendly staff. Not overly expensive and best of all, dog friendly in the bar. The best steak ever and good ales. Certainly a return visit soon.

“Great food, good beer”
Reviewed 7 June 2014 via mobile

There is a big choice of food, our two dishes had fresh ingredients. I can recommend the local sausages and mash with 3 choices of mash, 3 gravies and 2 sausages - I had 2 venison and 1 pork; absolutely delicious. My wife had a large fish and chips. All the food being delivered to our and other tables smelled great. Good choice of Real Ales, with 3 hand pulls of different styles. Nice friendly staff in a lovely village pub. #1 choice for me in this area.
