We stayed the night of a party 2 weeks ago, lovely room, and such lovely people running it, great breakfast, super coffee.Americans would love this old place!!
Also great room for party, it has a bar and the drinks were very reasonable.

Three of us ate here to celebrate a birthday. The food was all very freshly cooked and absulutely superb. Dad didnt like fish !!!. But decided to order fresh Salmon and now at age 76 has decided he loves fish. Thanks to the Buck.
Not a big restaurant but ideal size for family gathering. Tables not too close together either which is a blessing.
Excellent choice of menu and very good value for money. Best place to eat in the locality. Strongly recoomend and will go again frequently over the summer months.

This pub has been taken over and refurbished by a local family. Well done - they have done a great job. We had a delicious meal in the restaurant. Menu was interesting and the food was superb. Friendly staff and we were made to feel very welcome. It was our first visit and we will be back again......soon.

My family and I ate here on a Saturday night. Our party consisted of 5 adults and two young children. We were made to feel very welcome and our orders were taken quickly and delivered promptly. The food was of a good standard nicely presented with home made chips and fresh well cooked vegetables. Would definitely return and would recommend. My only very minor criticism would be that we had to walk through a busy pub to access the dining room and a separate entrance would have been nice.

We ate here on a saturday night after the Rugby so the bar was very full and just before a coach load arrived for a party. I didn't expect much as it is fairly new wirh no reputation that i had heard of but I am eager to return. I had the Salmon for main which was cooked to perfection, none of that scummy white froth you get when overcooked! It was served with a really fresh salad and a choice of 3 potato dishes. Desert was lovely, obviously home-made and tasty. I had a lemon mousse served with summer fruit compote- delicious.
Will def return it s certainly worth the drive from Newtown with tasteful modern interior, very clean, polite staff. A def winner!
