Four of us had a lovely evening meal at Maesmawr, very good menu and good choice of wines, spirits and beers. We booked BnB the room was bigger than expected no issues at all and we all slept well. Breakfast was delicious - Neil and the staff looked after us very well

Room Tip: Our room was over the dining room looking out towards a wooded area and fields - lovely view and very quiet

The building is very 'quaint' and looked inviting. We chose to stay for 3 nights and our room was huge with a large sitting area, bedroom, and bathroom. We ate at the restaurant on three evenings and thought that the food and service were excellent. Breakfast was also very good.A great place to stay for a mini break in the heart of Wales.

We stopped here as a family of 5 for one night. We normally stay 4 star but the website and reviews made us feel that this hotel would be a good choice. We weren't disappointed it is a hidden gem.

Our room had a double bed, ensuite with a separate room adjoining for our 3 children. The beds were extremely comfortable with a good ensuite with bath and shower. Our rooms were all newly refurbished and of a high standard. The feature wallpaper was pure luxury and beautiful. It was wonderful to find a hotel that caters so well for families with 3 children.

Complimentary toiletries were given, water and ample tea and coffee.

The rooms were spotlessly clean and the view over the grounds was lovely.

We ate in the restaurant for our evening meal and breakfast and both meals were amazing. The evening meal was great value for money and tasty and breakfast included in our overnight stay. We're all vegetarian and were well catered for.

Service overall was great and this hotel should definitely be a 4 star.

We can't recommend it enough and will definitely be returning.

We had a lovely room in this very old hotel in mid-Wales. The staff were delightful and the food was excellent. A very relaxing bank holiday in one of the most attractive parts of the British Isles. Moma Machynlleth is a gem near by and the festival (always over August Bank holiday weekend) was exceptionional.

Room Tip: Room 11 has a massive, comfortable bed. The hotel is quiet and a good sleep, we would say, is guaranteed.

Stayed for two nights with breakfast paid by work. The staff were lovely and so helpful and the food superb! I enjoyed not only breakfast, but added dinner both nights and had lovely meals both times.
Yes my room was not in the main building, it was in the coach house. No problem with that. the room as not over large, but adequate, very clean and comfortable.

I shall look forward to my next stay and am seriously considering returning for a private visit later in the year.
