Stayed in the 2 bedroom cottage with family of two adults, two teenagers and two dogs for 12 nights.
Received a very warm welcome on arrival and were promptly shown to our Cottage. It was lovely and clean, very spacious and well equipped. The luxury hamper on arrival was excellent with bread, milk, butter, cheese and wine!
Gemma our Concierge was first class. We found her very attentive without being over powering. Gemma was always on site and was there should we need anything.
We found the Cottage very comfortable and spacious considering there were four of us and two dogs. We had many a lovely drink on our individual patio garden which we found very relaxing.
The only thing I may possibly suggest would be an alternative tv in the cottage so the kids could watch a different programme if they wish. Apart from that Natural Retreats have thought of everything.
Nefyn is not far from the cottages. There is a very well equipped Spar there along with an Indian take-away and a couple of fish and chip shops. The larger town Pwllheli was about a 20 minute drive where you will find an Asda store. We had a grocery order from Tesco delivered prior to arrival and we were delighted that it had been put away into the cupboards etc for us.
Beautiful beaches to explore and not far from the retreat. Our favourite was Whistling Sands. The beach is clean and safe for children to bathe. There is also an excellent cafe/shop there. It is a steep hill down to the beach but only takes about 5 mins. It cost £4.00 per day to park but is free after 4pm. We also found plenty of beaches that accepted dogs too.
We had an enjoyable break in first class accommodation. Would I return...yes, but not with the children as there is not a lot to keep them occupied.....thank goodness for free wifi in the cottage!
Would I recommend Natural Retreats in Nefyn...absolutely. Great place to stay if you are looking for a quiet and peaceful break in excellent accommodation.
Great stay. Would highly recommend!
