My family and I thoroughly enjoyed staying in this upside-down cottage - bedrooms and bathrooms are located downstairs with living, dining and kitchen areas upstairs so that we could appreciate the views out to sea. The cottage had all we could want, and it was quite entertaining watching my husband keep the log-burner going! This was a godsend as it was quite chilly at the time of our visit, however we enjoyed beautiful sunny days with relatively little rain. The cottage is situated on the outskirts of a small village, with a Spar, takeaways and cash machines. A car is vital. Everyone raves about the Ty Coch pub, but history aside we found it a bit underwhelming, and really expensive (£10 for a pint of guiness, half a lager, and 2 kids hot choc). This cottage was a great touring base for us, as Caernarfon, Phwelli, Portmeirion and Llanberis (Snowdon) are all within easy reach. Would we visit again? Oh yes.
