We spent three nights here in early June and what a find! Situated in the centre of town, close to the main piazza and seafront, yet a surprisingly quiet location. After popping into a few over priced hotels we stumbled on Bianco e Blu.
We were greeted by Alessandro and Lula. Our room was simply, but stylishly furnished with all the technology required for anyone who can't do without a T.V. or computer. Everything was spotless. Each morning we took breakfast on the balcony, with specially cooked Sicilian cakes and tarts all prepared by Lula, which were delicious. Our days there were very relaxing and we especially enjoyed sundowners of Prosecco on the balcony.
Marina di Ragusa is a lovely little town with great beaches and many restaurants. It was from there we visited Punta Secca. This little village boasts Inspector Montalbano's house where all the English, myself included, flock to take photos, much to the bemusement of the Italians! We had intended to stay here, but luckily we didn't as the place was unattractive and featureless.
So if you're in Marina you must stay with Alessandro as you are assured a warm welcome!More
